More power + poor shifting = slower times
Logging the pass you can see lots of useful info...
Personally i use Evoscan...
The two important columns in this case are the "LogEntryTime" and the "TPS" which is the throttle position sensor...
Calculating the time of the 100% throttle - off the throttle - gear change - 100% TPS again shows you how much time it took you to change the gear and go full throttle again...
Plus you see lots of other useful info, like if your car was knocking during the pass, what was your load so you can adjust your tune, check the RPM and see if you where changing gears at the right point of your powerband, etc etc etc...
For example another useful thing that i saw from my logs was that i was changing gears way to late for my powerband... I should have changed gears at around 7200rpm a bit after my peak power instead of keeping the 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear to aroudn 7600rpm where my power falls significantly, thus losing in acceletation!
Playing and checking such things you can improve and go faster... Personally i am quite positive that i can go in the 11s without even raising my boost...

The problem with this type of a calculation is that you can't actually deduct the seconds from your final ET. It is not linear by any means. Its a good way to chart progress, actually its a pretty damn good way of doing it.
Good luck man.

by no means the gain from the gearchanges can be deducted as a whole from the ET... as you said its not linear!
We'll see, I just adjusted pressure plate disengage about one full turn higher off the floor, feels smoother.
Logworks 2.03 is an excellent way to view progress and lousy driving, for example look at my shift points - I dont pay attention to tach - I just try to keep car straight:
1st - 2nd 6300rpm
2nd - 3rd 6800rpm
With 1.5 seconds spent for two shifts I would guess there's almost one whole second theoretically possible to shave off with proper shift points and speed alone - not me of course.
You can also overlay runs to compare logs too
If I can get out to the track again I'll see what I can improve by overlaying the run on top the current one
