I did a 13.4 with only TBE. no tune or EBC....and I'm lousy at the strip....I can imagine a low 12 with EBC alone.....what were your 60 times?

You CAN imagine? Or did you mean to say you CAN'T imagine? This post did not make sense.

13.4 with a TBE on a IX is awful, but 12.8 with the mods listed by the OP is awful, too. IXs can do 12s stock, so no one should be happy with barely hitting 12s with over $1000 worth of mods. Just FYI...

no i wasnt logging anything but the a couple of days prior we did a few pulls with a wideband and evoscan and sent them to my tuner
I plan on doing more logs so i can get some adjustments if necessary.

i'm not quite that experienced. it took me three times to nail a 1.8 60ft with a .1xx R/T launch. i also need to practice on my shifting

my mods came out to 1K i still have to play with the tuning. but i havent heard of a completely stock IX hitting 12's i know the car can do better with the mods it has but it relys on getting the tuning just right and the driver.

Several stock IXs have hit 12.8s-12.9s while tons of VIIIs have hit 13.0-13.1 (I hit 13.1 stock). One IX even hit a 12.7, but that was an RS. I ran a 12.8 in my 05 VIII with just a self-tuned SAFC with everything else stock just to give you an idea. My tuning definitely wasn't "just right." The SAFC sucks, and I was just using narrowband O2s from a pocketlogger - no EvoScan or anything was available at the time. When I reached the $925 mod mark, I was hitting 12.2s and 110mph traps on a base Dynoflash with the same mods you listed. No custom tuning, no logs, 22psi peak, etc. You should be expecting way more than that with a IX - IXs are way faster than VIIIs with the same mods.

so your saying i should be looking into my tune then. I'l give my tuner a call and see what else we can do. it would be nice to hit low 12's with these mods.

No, not necessarily. Most people blame their tune first when in actuality it's a mechanical problem with the car. You could have a boost leak, or your boost gauge could be reading wrong (check load values in EvoScan), or you could have an exhaust leak, yadda yadda. The tune MAY be sub-standard, but it's not going to be so bad that you're missing 50whp. Low 12s with those mods are usually a given, but you can't worry about low 12s until you get your trap speeds up from 108 to about 114 where they should be.

oh ok as for the boost leak it holds boost pretty well as far as i can tell. while in 5th gear it hits 23 and holds for a few seconds then goes down to about 21-22 and stays there. unless my gauges arent reay right. i know if my shifting was quicker than i might have had mid 12's. when we did the evoscan it was saying 48kpa which i researched and 48 kpa is 6.96 psi maybe i was looking at something different. now is there something in the log that i can look for that will tell me what the boost is?

Watching your boost gauge doesn't tell if you there is a boost leak. If you have a leak, the turbo will work extra hard to maintain the boost you've set, so even though you'll see normal readings on the boost gauge, your turbo will actually be pushing much harder to achieve lower boost levels. Doing this generates heat, which generates knock, which pulls timing, which kills power.

You can only detect boost leaks by doing a boost leak test. http://vfaq.com/mods/ICtester.html.

Yes, with normal shifting/launching, you could have hit a 12.5 pretty easily, but that's not important. The more important factor is you're only trapping 108mph, which is at least 5mph lower than normal.
