Caution?

The ls2 motor has very weak pistons and the will melt easily. If you run nitros make sure your run it very rich.Any excess heat can melt the pistons especilly the lt(driver's side)two rear pistons.Plus ,the bolts on the cam spocket like to loosen and give you cam position trouble code po341.The cam bolt can shear off and ruin your motor.Try not wheel hop the rear tires, that's when the half shaft break. It is better to spin a little than break. Change the clutch fluid after several hard lauches at the track. The fluid turns dark and can cause the dreaded clutch pedal sticking to the floor. Those are the major things to look out for a vette.

And that is the reason why I'm selling my Evo. I will be getting a 08 C6 with just one option: Z51 pkg.

BTW...congrats on your time!

That is a very nice car. I have always loved vettes. My old man has a pretty badass C6 that is built up.
Here is a short video of it. Gotta love the cammed out sound.

Your comments reveal large amounts of lack of knowledge in such area. I am indeed afraid that if you think that a Vette owner buys a car just for the looks you are perhaps deeply wrong.

As per being a lot of money for going "that slow" again shows me that you are again well misinformed. A C6 vette comes with a huge list of comfort equipment that is not offered on the Evo and it also offers tond of performance for the price.

You might be more incline to have an Evo for your own reason but if you are going to talk about the C6 vette I suggest you be a bit more intelligent expresing your ideas.

Hey Dan....Nice vette...I always liked Corvettes...Actually I liked my old vettes more than my Vipers....Vettes are more civil believe it or not...and they handle better...less drama than a Viper if you ask me...Oh well...I am sure Ill go back to a vette sooner or later...but Ill keep the Evo...The only two cars that stayed in my garage more than a year were A vette and the Evo...best cars for the money if you ask me.

Good luck...Oh...by the way...I have a set of C5 wheels (1999) in my garage...17 front and 18 back...PM me if you want them.

Good to hear you're branching out Dan. For those attempting to argue against the vette, good luck. The fans of these cars will hear nothing short of praise for them.
