11.42 @ 118 1.6 60 ft AMS flash, 3" downpipe & testpipe, forge MBC, 272 GSC exhaust cam, drop in filter Evo 9

The above time and speeds are from fimotorsports signature. Still think that 121 is SLOW for an 11.3?
When win lights go on for mph, I'll start tuning for MPH instead of ET.

The point is that there was racefuel used, implying pump gas.

You don't tune for E.T.

You tune for horsepower and torque. Its evident that something is off with the car, may it be MIVEC tuning or lots of detonation on the top end.

Point is you are low on horsepower and have a decent driver with a lightish car.

123-124 is enough for 10's.

101 is pump gas here. I fill up at the gas pump and use it daily

ouch

I get 110 leaded for $4.99/gallon
Given unleaded is road taxed so its more expensive, why not just buy leaded fuel?

As far as PUMP 101, it's filled up at a local station and I clearly, multiple times mentioned the 101. The reason for mentioning it was not to say it WAS pump, it was to say that it WASN"T C16. Bit of a difference. Again, compare similar et's and speeds on a IX. As far as tuning for et, tell the pro's that you don't tune for et. ET's are a result of the best whp/wtq for the combination of parts being used and the purpose of the tune. In this case, I'm not tuning for highest peak whp, but instead the decision whether more average whp or average torque will does us the most good. I think that the numbers speak for them selves. As far as MIVEC is concerned, I've spent several hours, just working the MIVEC maps and feel very comfortable with their current setting. I used to think that the ultimate goal was better ET, but I guess things have changed in the bench racing world. TTPeng, I have respect for what you have accomplished and what you do, but to insinuate that PUMP was being misrepresented, when in fact it was mentioned several times about the 101 and I'd like to know how 413whp/456wtq indicates that something is wrong, considering that this is on a LOW reading Mustang Dyno (proven by exact comparisons to same exact parts with same exact programs, when compared to Buschur Dyno) and since I went for more torque than hp, given our own personal goals of better et's, not better mph. Like I said, when has anyone ever received a win light for mph?

By the way, As you noted the Pump 101 reference. I don't know how it could be posted more clearly, than to put it on a line BY IT"S SELF. Not buried in the text of a long message. I agree that 123 - 124 mph would be good for 10's. But were not running 123 -124, he's running 121 at 11.3, before tonight that is.

So because of those on the left coast can not fill up with 93oct and only get the 91 does that make the rest of those using 93oct on racegas as well?

Straight from the 11.00 - 11.99 list:

Inco9nito99 EVO VIII- 11.3@122MPH
OKIX EVO IX- 11.3@121MPH
Madmat EVO IX- 11.3@121MPH
RUELASEVOIX/Luis Fernando EVO IX- 11.3@119MPH
PHILLY EVO (Buschur) EVO VIII- 11.3@119MPH
ISP Racing EVO VIII- 11.4@130MPH
BOostedEVO8 (MYNES Performance) EVO IX- 11.4@128MPH
Insaneoneinc EVO VIII- 11.4@128MPH
Invoice EVO (Buschur) EVO VIII- 11.4@126MPH
13brewtt (MZM Tuning) EVO VIII- 11.4@126MPH
Topnotchevo (UMS Tuning) EVO VIII- 11.4@125MPH
Terry Chueng (Ultimate Racing) EVO VIII- 11.4@125MPH
Woodside EVO VIII- 11.4@123MPH

Doesn't look like the HIGHER MPH did the 11.4 times much good when it came to ET. I am in NO WAY putting these times down, nor the cars and drivers, my only point is to show that MPH DOES NOT make the race car nor it's tune. The point of drag racing is to get the lowest ET possible. I think we're accomplishing that with a LOWLY 121 mph trap speed. Good driving and a decent tune are getting us there.

I'm not sure why anyone gives a crap if he was using 101 and meth or not. I don't think many people go to the track on aftermarket go fast parts on 87. Silly to even care about that. We all know C16 is better but I am curious as to how much more you'll be able to get out of it. When I run 110 leaded and spray alchy I can't seem to give the car enough boost or timing to make it go any faster. Its almost a waste. Then again I dont have a Green. I am curious as to how much timing you are running at those load levels.

Nice job on pulling very quick times.
