1/4 Mile Time

Okay, this was my first time on the dragstrip at the California Speedway. Any advice on my times. I believe the problem is the interface between the chair and steering wheel. I think my tune is pretty good because my trap speeds are decent.

1st run:
R/T: .916
60': 2.467
330: 6.377
1/8: 9.552
MPH: 80.57
1000: 12.243
1/4: 14.444
MPH: 103.40

2nd run:
R/T: .674
60': 2.250
330: 6.038
1/8: 9.117
MPH: 80.34
1000: 11.744
1/4: 13.893
MPH: 105.85

if you can get your 60' down to a 1.7 you should have a better et. last night i went to the trackagain and i hit a 12.5 at 109 with a 1.76 60' time. practice with that 2 step launch

Whoa, I didn't know it was possible to get 60' times that slow. You can do that in a FWD easily, and you can get way better in an Evo by ust rolling off the line. What was killing your launches so bad?

You think the tune is good because the trap speeds are decent? The trap speeds are stock level, but that's to be expected with no MBC, low boost weak tune, on 91oct, and at that track.

Looks like you are worrying about breaking your baby. You gotta man launch that thing to get a good time around here. Practice your launch(rev it to 5-5500 rpm and ride her out)....You need it.

It just takes time and practice to get the launch and shifting down correctly. I'm going back to the track on June 30, 2007 and hopefully hit the high 12's.
