11.80 @118.57 - 1st Evo into 11's !
we are tuning the S4 in with bigger turbos as we speak, I was having overboost issues in 1st and 2nd gear that night at atco, These new snails should be good for mid to low 11's on boost alone(1.5 bar) and a race chip! I should be back at Atco this week but its looking like friday nights are the best nights to go without having to deal w the gamblers racers!
Mother of God *drooling*, 11.8....man I should trade in my RSX Type S for an evo....hmm no no *must resist temptation* lol...out of my budget at this time....3 more years.....patience.....patience.......
very good but there is more to do
congrats on youre evo thats a good time,
we tune the evo's here in trinidad to do 11.4 1/4 mile with out nos
and full interior on unleaded pump gas. so there is alot that can be extracted from the 4g63 with out nos " laughing gas "
i think youre doing very well and look forward to youre development of the evo.
fastest un-official time was 9.8 1/4 mile with 200 shot of nos, C16 fuel, T66 turbo, 1000cc injectors, haltec ecu, MSD ignition.
will look to see if i can post some videos.
latters keep up the good work.

Just wondering....how much does it cost to get EVO into 11's???
namely... the approximate cost of these parts (listed by Al in his
post) + labor..?
Pruven Intercooler kit
Pruven fuel pressure regulator kit
Perrin short shifter
RMR 3" turbo back - intake and intercooler pipe kit
Greddy emamage
HKS EVCV
Quantum Racing exhuast manifold
HKS 264 cams
Zex wet kit - 50 shot
Walbro fuel pump
Thanks,

Thanks,
Went down to ATCO raceway today to try and break into 11's - finally! (Actually - it only took 3 months to do it so it wasn't that bad)!
The timeslip is posted below.
Today's mission was proving the Pruven Performance intercooler - - it was 95 degrees at the track and humid like crazy so I knew it was going to be real hard to bust out any good numbers in the middle of a heat wave! Amazingly - there was zero heat soak and the heat did not effect my car at all.
Also - today I was testing the Perrin Short Shifter kit - which is a true work of art and helped me bust out some serious quick shifts
My mods - for anyone intersted - are:
Pruven Intercooler kit
Pruven fuel pressure regulator kit
Perrin short shifter
RMR 3" turbo back - intake and intercooler pipe kit
Greddy emamage
HKS EVCV
Quantum Racing exhuast manifold
HKS 264 cams
Zex wet kit - 50 shot
Walbro fuel pump
Amazingly - many items are still stock - which really shows what an amazing car the evo is :
Stock turbo
Stock injectors
Stock block and heads
Stock wheels
Stock CLUTCH!
Big thanks to AMS for getting me the very hard to find HKS cams - super big thanks to Pruven for putting them in so quickly and for helping me out with a super tune - and thanks to Perrin for hooking me up for the biggest secret weapon of them all - the Perrin Short Shifter which I was able to fully adjust to fit my arm throw and which shaved a lot of time off my slow shifts !
BTW the same night I ran this time - which I think is the quickest 1/4 mile time in an Evo VIII in the US right now - my fellow Nanuet, NY Sunday night meet attender Tommy ran his red evo for what appears to be the fastest Evo VIII 1/4 mile time in the US with a trap speed slightly faster than mine in the higher 118's
I can't tell you all what an amazing feeling it is to feel that Evo hooked up on a rail like that - - we wanted to try a few more runs but they threw us off the track for not having a roll cage. I always wanted to go so fast they threw me off had to wait till I got an evo to have that happen!!!
See you all in Ohio - peace
