new track times with new tranny
i have all the same mods but now i just got a longer 4th from shepherd, because i have the cosworth 272s that im gonna put in about a month or so when i get more money, but the best was a 12.911 @ 103.5 with a 1.9 60ft but i was wondering why my trap speed is so low, is it because of the 4th gear because when i had the stock 4th the trap was around 107 with a 13.1 and a 1.9 60 but i dunno, the temp was about 90 and it was really humid. do you guys think that the 4th was what slowed me down or just bad weather
Track this friday dood... i need to grab my 1st 12 sec timeslip too!

Making more power will never make up for the torque loss. That would be like saying you can make your forth gear accelerate faster than your third gear. It simple math. Its not gonna happen. Its not that big of a deal. Live and learn.
me too!
i have 255/45/17 with the new shep tranny evo 8 3rd and 4th gears....
at 8000 rpms my gps says 131mph.....
according to this website i should be at 132, but since i have 5k on the tires im going to go out on the limp and say its 100% tire wearing steal my mph =-)
what i really like abou this combo is in the 1/4 miles i should be crossing the line somewhere between 7200 and 7300 rpms. i'm still making very very good power until 7300 when it takes the dive.
Hopefully this will give me a better trap speed since i wont be spending half the back 1/8th avoiding shifting to 5th and ill be picking up speed instead.
My step hasn't changed at all so i'll post up when i make it out to the track to see if the car is actually quicker like im hoping it will be.
Cheers!
