my 60ft sucks

ok here is the deal, i went to the local 1/8th track tonight and i'm not too happy with my results. on the first run i ran 9.0 in the 1/8 with a 2.0 60ft with a .9 reaction time. this was very dissapointing seeing that a couple months earlier i ran a 8.5 with the stock turbo. i have the buschur 20g which was street tuned. after i put on the intercooler the afr's became ridulously rich. so i'm blaming these times on the tune. anyways on the last run i made a little improvement of a 8.9 but with a .553 reaction time but i still could not get pass the 2.0 60ft. so make me feel better please and tell me if i lean out my car from a 10.2 to maybe a 11.3 i can atleast run low 8 seconds

Well, 2.0 60ft is going to always yield crappy times.. i would mess with tire pressure s and try launching off track like in a private lot.. it's alot easier to launch on asphault - PRACTICE -good muscle memory is the only way you can get good at launches..

unless you buy an exedy twin... they launch themselves

i'm trying to blame it on the car being rich since i put on th intercooler. if there is one thing i can say is that i can launch my car. not to sound cocky but i have never lost out the hole. i have no idea what is wrong but since the intercooler the car bogs after 2 step. on the bright side i lost none of the races tonight and the last run i beat the crap out of a subie. he had a 3.2 60ft and ran a 10.3

Dang somebody got called out..

To the OP have you tried launching without the 2 step.. I usually cut 1.7's with out it and 1.6's with it.. see if you do better than with out it.. instead of blaming an intercooler..

The intercooler sholdnt be a problem. Lean it out and see what happens. What other mods do you have to compliment that 20g. Your clutch could be slipping, if you think its going anyway.

Running rich won't hurt your 60ft that bad. Sounds like you just need some more practice on top of a tune.

r/t does noting for your 60ft....so practice....take your time at the light....make sure your focus on the launch...first then worry about your r/t

Have someone else run your car. See how others do if you trust someone else driving your car.
