Again, explain how each model reflects a drop in mph, REGARDLESS of whp used. And, by the way, I don't simply work with programs, I write in several languages on Unix systems, not pc-jr's and gameboys. You continue to disregard data analysis, but then again we're NOT equals.

I cant explain why the model is predicting those numbers. Not do I care too. Those models are only as good as the numbers entered into it. Its like dynos. There are maybe 100 different dynos on this board. The equation for measuring HP is very simple. Yet if you took your bone stock car to all those dynos you would get HP numbers from 210-270whp. Maybe even a wider range. That panda formula you are using is 10 times more complex than the simple HP equation. Back to back testing in real world conditions is far more valuable when building a car. My yellow car has been through a rash of parts to get where it is today. 6 turbos, 6 cam grinds, 6 clutches, 4 sets of tires, 4 driveshafts, 8 transmissions, 3 heads, 3 blocks of varying compression, etc etc etc. I spent a tremendous amount of time and effort to arrive at an incredible combination of parts. Curt Browns cars were the same way. You never really get the behind the scenes development on cars. You only get the impresssive results at the end of the tunnel.

The models are constants. Only the VARIABLES change. Properly written programs are consistent with how they operate. You're correct about the output is dependent on the input. The INPUT is the variable. The only variable which differs from model to model is the tire height. That's not too hard to understand. Maybe going through so many changes, llike 6 turbo's, 6 cam grinds, 6 clutches, etc, etc. could have been avoided with a little 'modeling' of your own. Thanks for the input though.

Thanks a lot, Freddy302. We're hoping for those results. Right now, OKIX only has about 16-17 passes, so it should get even better. Maybe we won't have a 16mph headwind. That alone would have put it in the 10's, then if we can get an even better 60, he should easily be there. Looks like you've got your car worked out real well. Congrats on the great numbers you made.

Thanks! well with the 11.02, if you just throw your helmet out of the car at half track.. or lost your hood, or something that would have been a 10 sec pass .. that serisously sounds like poor track condition.. when the weather cools down a ton these turbo cars pick up Tremedously. I'm gonna head back to the track hopefully in the next month to see if I can my MPH up and 60 foot down

I would tell OKIX to lose some weight, but he's only 123 soaking wet. The helmet out the window would be a good idea. Afterall, he only needs it if he wrecks, and we've already made the decision NOT to wreck, so that solves that, the helmet goes.

electricevo, looks like you're well on your way to laying down some great times too. I bet we'll see some really low times this fall. Way too many well built cars to not have some great et's! Good luck and keep boostin hard!

Big congratulations to OKIX and 9sec9 for some very nice times on that combination! You guys are having big fun and pushing the envelope. What could be better? Well, besides 10.80s... I'm willing to bet you'll get there soon. Keep the rest of us up to date on when it happens.

Thanks CO_VR4, I wonder though. Why are you up this early in the morning, cruising this forum. I know, if you don't get it done early, it might not get done, right? Tonight, I'm putting the AFR's back to where I had them when he ran the 11.31et. At Tulsa, they were really fat, since the cams were newly added, different tires/loads/boost, etc. His 11.02 last weekend was run on 10.1 - 10.7 AFR's, so beaucoup power left in it. Actually, his 413/456 was made on the 11.7-11.9 AFR, but with so many changes for Tulsa, I converted his maps to a different rom and didn't even bother to lean it back out for the race. I would imagine that the 11.02 was made only running 390-400 whp. Tonight, it gets leaned back out. I'm fairly certain that the times will drop, provided we can get some bite. Oh well, here goes. I bet Colorado is really pretty in the mountains, right about now. I love it up there when the air's cool and the aspen have changed.

Up at 5, just waiting until 7 so the doorbell doesn't jolt anyone out of bed.

It's always smart to start rich and work to optimum, but I'll be interested to see what you pick up with the A/F changes. When is the next outing?

Colorado aspens are at their peak right now. Got to see them quick, though, since one good storm or wind and they're gone until next year.

AFR's are still only a tad bit richer than where I will end. Part of the mph increase is due to mivec change and AFR being leaner. I like to think of the sum of the parts, as opposed to the concentrating on a single item. I try to get each item, whether it's cam timing(mivec), ignition timing, boost, or AFR's optimized for how everything else is set, before going back to another big change. I begin at boost, then AFR's, timing, AFR's, timing, etc. Continuing back and forth, I feel I reach an optimum for my boost setting. If I change boost, it starts all over again.
You're a lucky dog to get to view the Aspens. May a Colorado bear find his way to your garbage cans.

I've been looking for a bear all summer. Still looking...

Looks like you're doing better with your goals.

yep, my goals had to be upped a bit. I'm setting a 10.7x goal before quitting on the 20GLT. If you think about it, we're only .14 from being there. His previous 1.53 and consistent 1.57-1.58's could be improved to 1.48 or so. That's most of the improvement right there. I found about 4whp in the tune from 4000 up, based on experience on the dyno, so a little better/cooler air, better 60 and we might get there. QTP-LW Hoosiers just got broken in on the 10.93 pass, so I think the 60's will go down. By the way, what did your Buff's do to my Sooners? I just realized, I don't like you any more.
