60ft question

i ran at e town for the dsm shootout, out of two runs my best was a 12.94 @110 with a 1.82 60ft. if you shave 1 or 2 tenths off of your short time how much does that affect the overall et?

i am by no means an expert in this field. but i do believe that i read somewhere the common rough translation would be that 1 tenth off your 60 ft would translate to 2 tenths in your overall quarter mile run

Mph traps is mostly about the power your making. He is prolly making more power then you. As far as the original post, each tenth takin off the 60' is another 1.5 tenth off the finish. Give or take a couple hundreths.

hmm... i hit just about the same 60'ft as you did (1.8) and more importantly the same trap speed 110mph. But i ran a 12.5 I also had room for improvement as 1.7s are considered a 'really good' 60ft. 1 tenth off the 60, will usually net you 2 tenths of the 1/4. So i agree most people trapping 110 are hitting a best of 12.3-4ish. But what caught my attention is we have the same 60 and same trap, but you ran considerably slower in the 1/4... you should post the entire breakdown of your timeslip for the drag gurus to take a better look... there has to be something different going on during the run

i'll have to dig up that 12.9 time slip, but today at e town i did much better.

r/t 1.387
60ft 1.769
330 5.180
1/8 8.009
mph 86.48
1000 10.428
1/4 12.434
mph 113.15

i was alot happier with my results today.
