Anything can affect trap speed... Launch, Shifting, How the car is running, track conditions... all play a role in the trap speed but as far as the 60ft alone affecting trap speed... If you get a sh*tty 60ft then you have more track to gain more speed... I noticed that when i raced my car but if you launch really good you get out of the hole quicker and there is less track to gain more speed... but there's definitely alot more variables than that...

Yes, it does indirectly, but there's no direct correlation between 60' and trap speed.

You'll get better results if you learn to launch, yes. Whether your ability to launch improves by changing the launch control depends on you. Many of us launched just fine for years before there was even a 2-step on the Evo.

Regardless, the car isn't going to magically get faster. If you're trapping 103, then the car is just slow, but altitude plays a big part. I lost 40 peak whp and almost 60 whp at 7k rpm when moving from sea level to Colorado.

Around 5500' at the track, and 6800' where I live. The density altitude when I last ran was 9000' even on a 55* degree day.

Definitely retuned, but the lack of atmospheric pressure kills our power.
