Full Race on PINKS question

The competition claims to be running #10 boost on a GT45 on a 1.3 motor. Why on earth would you run such low boost on such a small engine with such a large turbo?

If you are referring to the FC RX-7, the 13B wankel rotary is a whole different beast altogether. It isn't really a 1.3 liter, the way the wankel works it is more like a 2.6 liter. 10# of boost on a 2 rotor with that turbo can make some big power. It probably makes close to 500 wheel, easy 10 sec car.

Read this link on the rotary motor

gotta be a rotary...rotary engines put out crazy amounts of exhaust gas so it can spool far larger turbos than a piston equivalent.
i myself have a rotary engine with a T-72 with a Q-trim 1.15 turbine housing and i see full boost by 5500rpm.

Geoff,

The powerband on your 790whp dyno graph is insane. That car is going to fly!
