11's in the MR..FINALLY!!

Well the MR 4th gear has been owning me all year long and finally broke into the 11's at street wars..Best was 11.93@117.8. I also backed it up with an 11.97 and another 11.9x at 109 during brackets. I was oblitterating all four tires with a 4700rpm stationary rev limit with 20 psi in the tires and my 60ft times at street wars was 1.90 to 1.93 (terrible). I was running a spike of 24psi settleing to 22-23 with a mixture of 93 and 1 gal of c16.
Mods:
05 EVO 8 MR
Cobb turboback
FMIC
EBC
Intake
GSC S1 camshafts
Peteyturbo Flash

Now I am wishing I had a 5 speed for the 4th gear but I like the 6 speed better for daily driving and basically anytime I am not at the track..Here are some vids!

Here is the awesome lopez connection RX7, ran awesome ALL DAY!! what a car!!

FYI no weight removal. I guess this puts me in the top 15 fastest..

Timeslip reads:
60: 1.930
330:5.141
1/8:7.781
mph:93.84
1000:10.050
1/4: 11.936
mph:117.8
I made it to the final round but they had to end it early due to curfew. This makes 8 trips to englishtown in a row that I've won money placing either 1st or second place in whatever class I was racing in..

Did you lower the stationary rev limit? Unless you lowered it, it should be around 5k or so from the factory. Mine was bogging at 5200, so I don't doubt you had some issues bogging. I've seen worse than 1.9 60' times though. Raise that rev limiter to 5500 or a little more and turn some 1.7 60' times. Get that thing down to 11.7 or better. Good runs. A little bit faster and you get to shift to 5th...!!

Nice job into the 11's! Once you get traction figured out it should be much quicker with that trap speed since you went 12.20@~111 before

I lowered it because I was bounching of the rev limiter as soon as I disengaged the clutch..I make alot of torque between 4-5000rpms

I need traction badly, I'd be soo happy ith a 1.7 right now..I'm just wondering what kind of ET's I would have if I was in the mid to high 1.6's again!! A .3 difference is HUGE!!

Nice times but why are you using C16 with a 24psi spike? If anything, it was making the car richer at that amount of boost.. I used to run a 24psi spike on my 05 with no knock.. Next time, turn up the boost to 26-27psi and u will see a difference

Because that is how I wanted to tune my own car. I could easily tune for 24 on pump but I choose not to. I like to try to keep the turbo in its efficiency range and keep the boost and charge temp as low as possible..I tuned the car for a mixture of fuel so running rich is not the issue, even though I deliberately run rich anyway. I try to make the power in the tune rather then boost pressure..I am not going to turn up the boost either, theese trap speeds for an 05 MR with my mods arepretty much unheard of and I am happy with it..

That is a good MPH considering the 6 spd. You must be shifting into fifth? Or revving to 8.5 ??
