Well you do have an VIII but yeah, you can definitely do better than that. I ran that time in my IX with similar mods except the cams and the IC on stock clutch.

60 ft can make a hell of a difference.

you can't compare an IX to a VIII.

with those mods on a IX you should be in the 11's i would think. last night i was at the track with this guy. in my IX MR with just a dirty K&N filter and an HKS catback i ran a 12.82 @ 107.41 with a 1.867 60'. i was shooting for 12.6-12.7 but the lines were too long to wait for another run.

The power is there, but the driving is not. Don't take my words personal (because I too am a horrible driver) I am just saying your car has 110mph+ traps in it. You trapped 86.82mph in the 1/8th, something is slowing you down in the back half of your runs.

No offense taken, I'm happy I at least hit a 1.8 60'. I'm in 4th on the second half so I don't know why it seems to fall off? My friends tell me a have a mean a$$ 4th so I dunno...
I'm getting a tuning subscription with Jestr soon so I'm sure he'll get that taken care of!

Any ideas though on what could cause me not to gain 23-25 mph in the back half?

You could be shifting to slowly into 4th or it could be something else. But I am big believer in practice makes perfect.

if you shifted into 4th and started knocking enough to pull timing all the way to redline that would suck the life out of what would have been a 110mph trap.
