1/4 Mile Time Inside

Alright guys I finally got a chance to take the IX to the drag strip. Here are the results. I had three runs in and my stock clutch started slipping more and more each run. Went to run the 4th time and while i was warming up the tires a bit the car just stood there because the clutch was slipping so bad so I decided not to even run it that time.

Each of the three runs were 12.5@ 108 with 1.8 60', the best one was as follows.

60'.................1.813
330................5.174
1/8.................8.010
MPH................86.34
1000..............10.447
1/4.................12.458
MPH................108.77

I should be trapping a little bit higher but I don't know maybe the clutch is slipping while im shifting and lose a couple of mph. Let me know what you think people.

ANY slipping is causing a loss of mph and et. Excellent results, considering the clutch issue.

i believe your slipping it too much. get a clutch, try again and you'll see better results. good luck

Yeah, I have to start looking for a clutch. Overall the I am happy with the result. I know with a good clutch the car has a really low 12 second pass as it is.

im not exactially sure why you would have to "warm the tires", but ok.

It is besides the point, it looks like you have no brain because you are chosing the least important thing in the thread to comment on but since you ask I warm up the tires everytime for better 60' times and it does help I saw a huge difference in my 03 VIII. I went from high 1.7s to high 1.5s-low 1.6s from warming up before launching. It has worked for me and a lot of others and it will definitely keep working.
