I raced the new GT-R!
That GTR was given to http://blogs.edmunds.com/Straightlin...hotopanel..1.* They are doing a story on they're road trip in the car.
Apparently the DSG tranny makes for extremely consistent launches. The fact that the guy mentioned in the thread achieved 11.8 at 118mph highlights this fact.

We conducted 15 brutal launches, and the GT-R endured them with grace, sometimes posting 60mph sprints just 0.01 seconds apart.

wait wait.. doesnt the GT-R have like a GPS speed limiter thing that senses when you're on one of the registered racetracks then takes off the speed limiter accordingly? i swear i read that somewhere. probably on nissan forums . but that is badass to the max regardless
It was an Edmund's Inside Line test car. I should be in the video review when if comes out if you guys want a vid. I took a vid, but he never came into view since I finished first. I guess it doesn't really matter that it is governed at 120mph since he trapped at 118. After talking to him, you really can't mess up a 1/4 mile run. Any other variances in times are gonna be due to track conditions.
