It was in, i wanna say Import tuner or modified mag, that they did a story on Top Secret's GTR where they said that when a GTR is on a track with GPS tracking it will remove the speed limiter AND save it so they can void your warranty

I read the same thing. I do think they are limited via the ecu to 156 though.

I cant wait to see a modded one. Just imagine the potential.. its a 10 second car. I wonder if using an aftermarket turbo kit, a high 9 is possible...

I also read it that US spec will not have GPS speed limited, but guys, that doesn't means there is no ECU governor to control the speed limit, just like the one on our evo.

The US SPEC GT-R is not speed limited. That has been confirmed!

Some of the cars your seeing in vids, write ups etc. are JSPEC or UK SPEC cars and they do have a rev/speed limiter on them.

They must be extremely underrated to trap 125mph out of the box. I don't see how a 3,800+lb car rated at 480 flywheel hp can trap that high! Especially considering how much drivetrain loss there is with AWD.

I'm not denying the times, just seems awkward! Definitely a beast of a car either way.

Where was the car and driver test done at? This Californian test run by EDMUNDS is most likely using our ****ty 91 octane **** gas . Probably robbing some power, yes?
