Not really, when I started I deemed 500whp as the goal. I figured that the motor would last long enough at that hp level for me to get the funds together for the full motor build. To have a 10sec. stock bottom end, stock head ( minus cams ), and stock intake mani + TB 4 banger is just proof that the evo 9 is to date the best 4 cyl import ever made. 29.5 lbs is just what it took to get me there, and asking anymore right now wold just be greedy and asking for trouble. Besides the main thing holding me back now is the gearing in the tranny, cause I'm still bangin the rev limit at 8,500 like 75ft from the end of the track. Thanks again evrybody for your coments, questions and feedback. Jeff

No springs or retainers, all stock. I shift at 8k to 8,200 in all gears except 4th and wind it out to the rev limiter at 8,500 just before the traps. The only thing I did do was switch to Mobil 1 15w/ 50 oil to help in the higher revs. The car has 5100 miles on it now and the car has had about 500whp for 3,500 of those miles, and I beat the crap out of it evry time I get behind the wheel.

Are you running the M2's? Stock lifters?
Very nice times on a stock motor. Who's going to build your new motor?
