I did it! Stock Bottom in the 10's Pics on pg. 4

I'm so happy I finally got my first car into the 10's...

I only have the mods in my sig. and the biggest hurdle was the cappy evo 9 gears. I did change my tires to help the gearing. 255/45/17 yoko avs sports on stock se wheels got me 4mph more that the stock tires.

Here is the run down of my time slip.

1.66 60ft.
4.61 330ft.
7.06 1/8th @ 99.05
9.17 1000ft.
10.94 1/4 @ 128.73

It was my first run of the nite and my last cause I got the boot after my race, they didnt find my 12.3 dial in time to funny. I still dont want to put a cage in just yet. Any questions please ask, and I'm completely open with all of my mods if you want specifics just ask. Hopefully I'll be able to get the vid up soon.

Nice> Congrats. I have a few questions.

Was this accomplished on race gas and what psi? AEM?( I"m guessing it was)?
And does your tire combo rub> I didnt know we could go past 245/45/17 on stock wheels. Rolled fenders? and pics of that wheel tire combo?

why wider tires give you 4mph?

Sick! The 45 in 255/45/17 is aspect ratio. It changes with an increase in width.

^^^^
255/45 is a taller tire then a 235/45. Thats why the wider the tire people put on the lower that number goes to keep the sidewall the same size.

I run 110oct all the time, the car only comes out on friday nights. Yes I have an AEM and boost was set at 29.5 lbs. I have just Tanabe springs and no it does not rub unless I go over railroad tracks at speed. I'll try to get pics up when I get the video.
