damn nory car is moving now and its got alot left in it. 10s are right there.

 

He said he bumped the rev-limiter in 4th just before crossing the lights too. I definitely think there's a 10 in it. I'd be up for a meet at the track too.

 

Yeah, that is true, bump the limiter about 30 feet from the traps.

Congrats on the numbers Nory. I guess you couldn't have lifted the first 2 runs?!!?? I guess a cage it is LOL.

 

hahahaha! LOL! spool is around 4600 @25 lbs. I shifted at 7K every gear exept 4th. I ran the 4th to the end, but hit the limiter about 30 feet from the traps. I would have lifted, but I didn't expect to have a flawless first run, especially since my driving usually suxs! hahaha! Not even going to consider the cage...going for 10's in San Antonio on the 21st if all turns out well. I'll be lifting then or turning the boost down until the last pass :-)

 

Hey Nory, try shifting a little higher on your 1-3 so you wont hit your limiter.

forgive the ignorance, but how does shifting higher in gears 1-3 prevent you from hitting the limiter in 4th?
I think the only way that could work is if the increased limit would actually be making your car slower...

I don't see where. I think what speed is saying if I shift at 7500 thru the first 3 gears, I would have covered those extra 30 feet in 4th. Speed, correct me if I am wrong....

Yeah man be sure to wind all those gears out!!!

That should help with hitting the rev limiter at 4th gear nearing the traps!
