If you had 2 stock block IX's, both with identical supporting mods, but one has a fp green at 30 psi on meth and the other has a ams 50 trim kit with 30 psi on meth. Which one will be victorious in the 1/4 mile? This will pretty much help make my decision as to which set up to go with?
I'm sure you can make that. As for the comment about "FP" well that's probably just being biased. I'm sure there are FP Green setups that are out there beating 50trims but you were considering all things being equal as in both setups being optimal for max output. The 50 trim should definately take the win.

yeah i guess so, I just wanted to ask and see what some people thought about it. I think i will go with the ams 50 trim kit...that way i can upgrade to a bigger turbo later..with the green i will spend all that money on the green itself, ported mani, o2 housing, and when i get ready to upgrade the turbo i will have to buy a whole new turbo kit...So i think the little extra money now for the 50 trim will be worth it seeing as how im gonna be running meth or race gas with high boost. I think the 50 will surely come out on top now that i really think about it.
I'm still undecided at the moment but 50 trim is on my list for sure. You're right about all the little "Nickel and Dime" stuff to get max hp from the Green and you realize that it's not far off from a reasonably priced turbo kit.

yeah i know..i figured it all up today....if i get everything i need to max out the green and everything i need to max out the 50 trim kit....it is only about a 1900 dollar difference....that is including everything....turbo kit, intercooler, cams, everything. So to me that is not much considering i can upgrade to a larger turbo later on down the road. And that is only if i get the ams kit...i could go with the ets supervalue kit and there would practically be no difference in cost. But i love the ams kit.
50 trim can get you 500whp with basic bolt ons at 30psi with decent torgue down low to help with the launch...
FP Green to get you close to 500whp you need probably more than 30psi and AEM. The torgue will come more violently thus increasing the risk of breaking a stock block...
The lazyness of a bigger turbo is a good way to protect your stock block... 500whp we have seen numerous times with AMS 50 trims at around 30psi... 500whp FP Greens at that boost are non existent with similar mods...

I'm not knocking the 50 trim but how many of them do you see in the 11's? There are a lot of people putting down some really quick times with the stock ix turbo and the green. That said, i believe the op is doing the right thing by buying the kit because like he said it makes it easier when you want to upgrade, but why not go with at least a 3076 hta instead of a 50 trim? Just my .02 cents.
