RS' New Chariot
RS' New Chariot
Well, I'm finally ready to hit the track next week. It's been difficult finding a decent trailer, so I ended up buying a new Featherlite. It tows unbelievable and worth every penny. So, the RS will now travel in style
It's going to Orlando for the Tilton Twin carbon install at TTP and then off to the track on Wednesday the 11th. The cars weight is way down and I'm expecting good things this time around. I haven't been running the car because I haven't been able to get it anywhere
Problem solved. If anyone is interested in the Featherlite 3110 car hauler, let me know. I looked everywhere for information and it wasn't an easy find. It was also a substantial purchase, but from my research it is night and day from a standard steel trailer. It also only weighs 1400 pounds, so with the car I'm hauling less than 4000#
Keep a look out for results next week. I am so dmna excited

You can't really see them in these pics, but there are 4 recessed tie downs. It is so nice to trailer the car. Last few times I drove it on the street I picked up nails in my brand new DOTS. The tires get like glue driving it and they pick up everything in their path
Plus now that Moroso(local track) is closed, I have to drive an hour and a half to the next closest track. So, this was a worth while investment. And if anything breaks on the car, I can load it up and forget about it for about a week until I calm down

OOPs, forgot to update the sig. You can't believe how many people suggested it
We actually sold it for a Trailblazer SS. Tow rating is 6800 and I'm pulling just under 4k. Should be ok except for gas mileage
Time to get serious......
Most-wanted, we also use a Featherlite enclosed trailer. I'll almost guarantee you that you'll be adding tools, compressor, cabinets, etc, etc. Then before you know it, a generator, microwave, floor jack, fuel. And you'll be trading for a diesel truck because you'll be hauling 8000 instead of 4000. The Featherlite is great on the road. I just made a trip this week to Houston and back in 30 hours. 1000 miles. I think it's as good as you can get, considering price, quality and weight. Good luck at the track.

So this will have to do for now. Hopefully the car will perform the same as it did last time out but with traction. Power is almost the same, but I'm doing a power steering delete which may help a little. Also doing the Tilton Carbon, and a few other things to shed 70#... If it hooks, it will either break into the 10's or break something
