I understand that. I wasn't trying to diagnose any problems or see how my car was running when we did the log. It was only to show me how Evoscan worked. My wife is buying me a laptop as we speak so maybe tonight or tomorrow I can do some datalogs and figure out what's going on.
import junky: i already have a laptop and i was thinking about buying a tactric's cable so i can log but i have no one to show me how it works, i no i can learn how to use it form searching around the forum but its nothing like first hand! my question is can it cause damage to the ecu if not used rite and it is easy to use/understand? thanks
I don't think "rite" is a word, but you can't damage anything with logging software (EvoScan or MitsuLogger).
You CAN damage things with the flashing software (EcuFlash), so use with care.

your driving deff. isn't an issue. when I switched from the stock air box w/K&N filter to cone style filter I noticed my power was much softer until I retuned for the change in airflow. The knock your seeing could be any number of things not related to the tune.
if you need help data logging or figuring out evoscan I'm local and can give you a crash course.
