I'm not sure what "full weight all season tires" are, since I have never heard of less-than-full-weight all-season tires, but those actually launch better than proper Evo extreme performance tires due to their soft sidewall.
My car is full weight, and the tires are all seasons. here is my slip. You tell me what you think.

Exactly...you trapped 94.56 in the 1/8th, which is higher than I've ever trapped in the 1/8th, but then you only got 116.77 in the 1/4. That shows an obvious discrepancy that was either caused by you braking early, letting off early, timer malfunction, or top-end knock. You picked up barely 22mph on the top-end, yet I'm picking up 25mph on the back-end at 6000' altitude where the stock turbo has horrible efficiency. You have a 119mph car with probably 400-410whp. Notice your 361whp WITHOUT the meth turned on...

See, things like this happen all the time, but most people don't bother to analyze or question why. I have a whole thread questioning the validity of my own 118+ mph traps, since I think they are actually 116mph traps. No one else said a thing or bothered questioning it, even though the discrepancy seems pretty obvious to me. I could just claim 118.99 trap speeds at altitude, which would mean 440-450whp at sea level, but I don't believe it's true.

It's their car and they can run whatever they chose. Who are you to say it's getting out of hand?

It's my opinion. Who are you to say what opinions I can and cannot have? They claim not to have even used them on this run anyway, so it's not even relevant. They have learned to do just as well with street tires, which is amazing.

why don't you go to PR and investigate this yourself then come back and tell us what you observed, its that SIMPLE. That would be an interesting new thread for all of us. The guys in PR are not going to respond to all of these questions. Every time the PR guys does something incredible, there is always someone questioning something about their runs. Plain and simple, these guys did their homework and the grades/time reflected how hard they studied.
Great Job fellas, KEEP SHOCKING THE WORLD!!!!!

What's the problem ? The low trap speed? Have you ever seen a VW bug do high 10's at about the same trap speed? I have... A good launch... with killer 330ft goes a long way.

BTW- Not all the cars on the island use the motorcycle tires... A lot of them use 15" slicks. The best 60ft so far have been with those... The motorcycle tires are a good band aid when you don't want to take your brembos off, otherwise use a real slick.

Yes, the low trap speed. This is not a VW bug, and we haven't seen a timeslip. The 60' alone is not only unlikely on "street tires," but it's not enough to get an 11.37 at 117.7. Maybe if it trapped 119 on the other runs, it would make more sense, but they divulge so little info that we are left to our speculations.

Here's a personal example. Back when I first moved to Colorado, I was trapping 109-109.5 regularly whether it was a good 60' or not. I eventually managed to nail a 12.30 on a 1.72 60', but for some reason my trap was only 107.99. Did I really drive so well that I hit a 12.30 with a trap under 108? No way, but for whatever reason, the trap was lower than normal on that run. Because I don't just post up numbers in a vaccuum, I explained this in detail and actually made sure to indicate that my 12.30 was run with a car trapping regular 109.5s in spite of the 107.99 on that one timeslip. No other timeslip had a trap that low. Information is key. Without it, we must speculate.

Motorcycle slicks...15" slicks...whatever, they know what they are doing, but these are supposedly street tires, and NONE of the other times they've posted had an ET/MPH ratio this good - not even close.

On the 10.2 @ 131, the 60' was better, and the shifting was MUCH faster, yet it required 13+mph to gain 1.1s on the ET. That does not add up. Most people probably don't realize this or just don't care.

Sooo what youre saying is, they lied about something?, there is something else they are not telling us?. Since you seem to be questioning this, have you thought of a rational reason for this. I respect everyone opinions, so feel free to express yourself on how they gained 13+mph.

The fact that you don't know how to do it, does not mean it can not be done:

The facts:

Video link 10:20 pass: http://s94.photobucket.com/albums/l1...Picture561.flv

I haven't left any info out, just ask before speculating, the wheels are 17" Mitsubishi EVO 9 MR, any other doubts please again, ASK does not speculate or imply we are lying just because you can dot do the same, makes some of your comments more as frustation than anything else...

No, I don't think anyone lied. I just think we don't have all the information. I've said that multiple times.

I am not concerned about how they gained 13mph - I have no question there. The point is ET to MPH ratio. This run is way off, and we still have no timeslip to analyze for a better understanding. I think one or more of these things could be true:
- On other runs, it was trapping 118s and 119s but happened to get a lower-than-normal trap on the 11.37
- Their street tires aren't like my street tires (regular extreme performance summer tires), but rather drag radials or something similar
- This track (and maybe other tracks there, too) are much sticker and/or have timing discrepancies (just like the track I went to last week, which is an NHRA-certified track)

I did not say it could not be done. Showing the videos does nothing to answer my questions about this particular run. We still have not seen a timeslip or been told what exactly you mean by "stree tires." You guys are being defensive when I am just asking for basic information. If you know drag racing so well, then you know an 11.37 @ 117 makes no sense even with a 1.53 60'. This isn't rocket science - it's basic math.

I am the owner of the car, did you heard me say we were using street tires?

carrito.net,

You don't have to prove anything to him. Just keep doing what your doing.
