That was in Orlando, FL a few weeks back... You know what's their secret... (besides their know how)...a great driver (in this case Georgie)

Don't give it to much thought... when you have a good launch and you shift fast... you get great times. Simple as that. You might get 11.8 out of 118... I might get 11.5 from a similar trap, but guys like Oscar, Roly, Georgie (to name a few) can get low 11's out of a similar trap (actually they trap higher due to the better shifting).

The driver mod is the most important mod.

Thanks... The almost unfair advantage.

Yes, this is basic information - I'm well aware. However, there are limits, and unfortunately people just take things at face value without any analysis. That X didn't get "11.4 @ 114" just from good driving. For one, it was 11.49, which is important, and for two, there is no timeslip in that vid nor any context around the gearing or shifting to explain why the et and trap don't match. Maybe he had to shift to 5th, maybe he was on the rev limiter, maybe he let off the gas, but it isn't a car that's only capable of 114mph traps.

Awesome job on everything you guys are doing down there.

I think it's funny how everyone got on Warr's case and then when the info that he wanted comes out everything makes sense. Like he said, stop taking everything at face value. He knows what he's talking about when it comes to drag racing and was NOT trying to discredit any of the guys in PR on their accomplishments.

PS: That Evo X looks sick with that lip spoiler... much better than the stocker.

I read the 5 pages twice. I also read all the pages in the spanish forum from carrito.net. Botton line is that if you make a claim you must support it. It creates way more questions than answers, you must provide the pertinent information otherwise many aspects will be questionable.

Why hiding stuff? lets share the info. I don't blame Warrtalon for wanting to know the true. Again, that timeslip leaves more questions than answers but I haven't said yet the I don't believe the times.

I have seen another video of that same car trapping 116.68mph so I guess the 117.51 mph is in fact possible but why making things so difficult? My suggestion is that next time you make claims make them releasing all the information otherwise you will always have a lot of people that wouldn't believe you. By the way, what racetrack was this "event" done, I have seen the car running in two different tracks. I can post the links but I rather you explain it. Thanks!

Arroz con gandul!!

Please let me know what else is needed, other than
  1. Dyno Chart (rarely available on any of the other EVO X records by the way)
  2. the Video
  3. the Time silps
The fact is 11.37 @ 117.51 mph with 400+whp, and 11.9 @ 116.7 with 18inches wheels and 366whp, with all the prove available, so other than you flying here and going with us to the track and dyno I do not know waht else I could provide...

I value your opinion, but wont let anybody take away from the fact that after a lot of effort we acomplished waht we did... We just wanted to share our acomplishement with you guys, and see the mayority of you happy are happy so that is enough for me...

Have a great day and standby for even better results...

Hi, I am glad that someone that actually was here testifies to our efforts, is hard to try to share our joy and get hate and (indirectly) be called a liar... Regardless, I am still happy and will keep on sharing our acomplishments with those of you that actually apreciate it.

Johnny, that's the thing - you have divulged great information. The problem is the initial post gave NO information - just a dark video followed by a false claim that this was on street tires.

Had all this information been given in the first post, it would be no problem. Make sense? What we don't know, we must speculate upon...

When it come to us... you just have to trust us. The videos are there, the slip is there, most of the mods are mention... We are not trying to trick anybody. We have proven many, many times what we can do. I invite you to search... look at our car culture... We have a long history... first imports in the 12's, 11's, 10's, 9's, 8's, 7's ... For more than 30 years the guys in PR have been doing this...

Besides how much analysis you can do! Is not like he ran 11.3 @ 118 from a 1.8 60ft! A low 1.5 60ft is a awesome launch. This track is an NHRA certified track and actually is a little slower than the other track (Salinas) which usually is a little less humid and better prep. Things will continue to improve and best of luck to Johnny and all the persons working on his car.

Your own times Warrtalon... usually for every .10 sec you improve in your 60ft, your et's improve by .15 sec (some people use a .10 sec 60FT to .20 sec ET ratio) Anyway even with those estimates ... how much you think your 11.8 ET will improve if... you get a 60ft that is .30 sec faster and shift just as fast...

Now some info about our tracks... (thanks to google Earth) to clear some doubts. Sorry Johnny for the thread jack!

Carolina Speedway (NHRA certified) This is the track that Johnny's Evo X ran. As you can see is parallel to a river and is oriented to the East-northeast in which you get a constant headwinds from the trade winds in the tropics. It also rains allot in this area. That's why is usually the slowest track on the island.

From what I could see the weather conditions yesterday (around the time the run was made) where.... winds from the East 10-12 MPH, Temp 82°F, Dewpt 74°F, Pressure 29.98 In HG... So head winds were not an issue.

This is Salinas Speedway. This track is oriented to the west-northwest. Is located on the southern part of the island (which is less humid as air dries up as it comes down from the central mountains) It's also a little warmer during the day. But winds are not a problem here. This track is also NHRA certified.

This is El Tuque in Ponce PR (southern part of the Island). This track is right by the beach and is oriented to the Southeast. It's warm and humid here. You get a cross wind here most of the time. This track is IHRA certified, the run off after the 1/4 mile is shorter... so you get on the brakes pretty hard (and is the reason that is not up to NHRA specs) There nothing they can do unless you reclaim land from the sea...

There is another 1/4 mile track that is going to be open soon. Right now is only 1/8 mile but the plan is to be a full 1/4 mile. That one is in the north side of the island. So almost 4 tracks in a 100 mile X 35 mile island.

Understood, but realize that the FIRST response to me was that this was on street tires. Maybe you should find that guy and straighten him out...
