if its only for VIII and IX's then technically the thread should be "the fastest VIII and IX's in the world" not whats stated.... agreed?

Well i am just following last years format.. We can title it however we want but the rules were 8 and 9 because we all know what a featherweight the earlier models can be and we cant buy them here to make things fair but they can buy 8 and 9's so IMO its an even playing field.. below is the original format which was USA only.. Im open for other countries but IMO we need to keep the field level with 8 and 9's,,

"The rules are the same this is for the 8 and 9 generation evo's only and only in the USA. I'm also thinking of making it a must for the person on the list to be on the forum. We had a lot of sponsors telling me this year that their customer cars did XX or ran ABC in the 1/4 but as far as I'm concerned they don't need to be on this specific list if they aren't part of the community and can let me know themselved. Anyone agree? Disagree?"

Fastest Evo VIII or IX... hmmm I think it would be great to include all Evo's. You mention weight as a concern. So does that mean stripped out drag cars like Buschur and AMS can't be on the list?

Too many qualifiers in my opinion. So much nitpicking when really I think the purpose of the list to give some recognition to Evo lovers running good. We shouldn't take this stuff too seriously should we?

I personally think it should be worldwide but that it must be as uniform as possible. Meaning only use cars that are accessible by all countries on the list to keep it fair.

I say VII(same as an VIII) VIII, IX and X

Yes that is true. But you know the transfer case and front diff in the 7/8/9's is much beefier than 4/5/6. Also the 9 has better aero than the earlier ones. So there is a way to look at it balancing out. And if you see something like this:

1. Speedtech Evo 1 - 8.0
2. Buschur Evo 8 - 8.5

I think anyone with a bit of knowledge will say, hey, Buschur is kicking some but there because the Evo 8 is probably a good 700 lbs heavier than a Evo 1.

I mean if you say weight is the issue, but then the list is qualified by just Evo 7/8/9... then you have a totally stripped Evo 8 right next to a full weight Evo 8 on the list, you are still expecting people to make the distinction on their own, and in this case it's more subtle than saying Evo 1 next to Evo 8.

Anyway just some thoughts... I understand your perspective on it.

Obviuosly I think it should be worldwide, I could not find the lists so here I go with some of the data on the AMS/Carrito.net EVO X, this is two of the three visits to the track, first visit was an slow 11.9 on 18" x 9.5" XTR wheels and I wont count it, lets see how we do on the third visit

Link to the 11.37 @ 117.5 mph, Dyno charts, pictures at the track (SOME) details and timeslip.

Link to the 10.9 @ 120.6 mph, pictures at the track (SOME) details and timeslip.

Standby for more tommorow... Cheers!

By the way the Speedtech Evo is not an Evo1 its a Evo 3...... just a comment and its 8.23 not 8 flat.
