Theres this kid who ran his mouth all through high school when he was building up his integra and i was building my eclipse, we never got a chance to race, i sold the eclipse and got an evo. Well, he built his car up with a built motor, 60trim and 19psi and is now talking ALOT of crap. Soooo im finally gonna race him. Ive got a 50trim and meth, at 28psi and i know im past 400awhp

I found his dyno sheet.......400hp at the crank. Im thinking i should be able to beat him, and finally shut him up. Ive just gotta get him to go to the track asap, and ill post a vid and results.

I ran an 11.5@124.7mph best so far with crap traction

Where did he dyno his engine at the crank? Are you sure he actually got on an engine dyno?

If he actually has 400whp along with ~2500-2600lbs, it could be pretty fast, but he has to have tires and know how to drive it.

However, I find this to be far from an "important race."

PS. Your 125mph traps show 460whp or more on a Dynojet depending on weight, so you're running strong.

My issue right now is that he wants to race from a roll, and not at the track...

 

That's not to the crank - that's to the hubs, since it's a Dynapack. Notice how the HP continues climbing and only stops when the operator let off the gas. It looks like it would keep climbing, and I would expect it to rev to 9k, but I don't know the specifics of his build.

At that power level, it should be able to trap as high as you, so if he can hook, he can beat you. All you have to do is get a halfway decent launch to bury him, though, probably.

So, are talking about high school kids with highly-modded cars here? Seems kinda strange - who pays for all that stuff? On top of that, he's been talking crap and wants to prove himself by doing a "roll" race? Hey, you have your timeslip and know you have a ridiculously fast car that can do more than go in a straight line, although it does that VERY well. If all he can do is talk smack then run from a roll, then he has built a useless car. That's what you should tell him if he won't meet you at the track.

 

Take em to the track and you got em. Stay off the streets, he'll have the advantage and its to dangous to be streetracing nowadays. Be safe.

 

I smashed my friends T61 hatch when I had a stock turbo. Youll be fine just run him from a dig tell him NHRA doesnt have a roll racing class and please keep it safe track or private road/drive way ( we have alot of long drive ways where im from) and off of the public streets

Warr yes we are talking HS here. the OP bought my old car actually and added a few more toys to get higher PSI from the 50trim which was on straight pump when I sold it. I can tell you Araon paid me in cold hard cash (in his own name) so props to him.

As for the race I agree with Warr. This could be close assumeing he doesnt just burn the tires. Make sure this is captured on vid Aaron. DOnt forget those cars are lightweight in comparison to the Evo
