Well I went to the track again tonight! Probably going to be the last time for a week or 2 as the car has had way too many passes in the last couple weeks.

Good new though. Drove it to class today, then an hour to my home in Findlay to pick up my Dad. We then took a trip to Summit Racing (3 hours), then the 40 mins back to the track, made about 7-8 passes, and then drove it 2 hours back home! NOT ONE PROBLEM! This car is rediculously reliable!

My best 2 passes tonight were:

10.66 @ 135.8
10.80 @ 135.1

I had a few runs with missed gears where I shut down early and then a couple Low 11s passes. I will post up all the times tomorrow night as it is too late now. The first few runs of the night dont count as I switched over to my laptop now for the first time and somehow a couple things messed up in the process so the first 3 runs my 2-step wasnt coming on and the car was trying to lainch from 9k! Well, we fixed that and the first pass back out was the 10.66!

Dave, you are the MAN when it comes to this stuff! No one is better!

And Eric, congrats on your new times! I will be chasing you as soon as David lets me get my race gas tune! I am giving the car a break now though as I have about 30 passes on it in the last 2 weeks.

What turbo kit, cams and what size motor? Good runs!

 

Its a Buschur Built 2.0 with Tubular HTA 35R and Buscur cams. I will post the link to the original thread tomorrow.

 

But you have a for sale thread on the turbo kit saying your motor blew??? Maybe I'm lost or something???

I blew the motor back in March, that is when I went with the Buschur build motor. I am selling a cast turbo kit, with the build I went with the tubular kit and they are not interchangeable.

 

tiny bit of meth, it only adds 20 hp, we have it on there for fuel safety. We only adusted the fuel, not timing or anyhting else. Its on 29 psi on pump and pump+meth.

 

what was your 60ft ? 1/8th mile time & trap?

 

That was the stock motor i beleive.. thats when he went to a tubular kit and BR motor i am pretty sure..

COngrats on the times.. Stick with it and slowly you dip down to the 9's.. You got the setup to do it!!

Got it. Makes sense now! How much more hp did you pick up going to the tubular kit? I would guess it along with the spool up would be pretty substantial!

I might have to go to the track Saturday to try and widen the 35R pump gas record a little bit. .02 is a little close for me!
