Can it do it?

I'm trying to hit that elusive 11.99 run. so far my fastest run was a 12.29 at 114 with a 1.78 60ft on almost bald Nitto NT555(Non R)tires. my mods so far go like this

full catless TBE
intake and filter
LICP
BIG FMIC
BC 272 cams
Fuel rail
1000cc injectors
255lph
Manifold
Stock 8 turbo
o2 housing
AEM wide band
AEM EMS
on 26psi with e85

It dyno's at about 435hp with 395 ft/tq

What do you guys think?

435 or 335?? 435whp should be 121-122mph traps and mid-to-low 11s, but it's almost impossible to get 435whp on the stock turbo with only 395wtq, because you can only get close to that number with 30+psi, which would shoot the wtq WAYYYYYYYYYY higher.

I'm doing 11.5s on E85 with 335whp uncorrected.

No, high 10s is out of reach for that power level unless he has a ton of weight reduction.

Yeah, i was looking at your thread and the only difference between our power set ups are you have an evo 9 turbo but i have EMS. I'm sure you're a better driver then me but you think i'd still be within a half second.

What's your elevation, and what dyno were you on with what correction factor?

If I went to the local Dynojet with full correction, it would say I had around 470whp, but that's a useless, inflated number. When dyno'ing, it's important to understand the context rather than just taking the numbers as-is.

Your 114mph trap would have to have been at a different power level otherwise, because 114 with 3350-3400lbs is 350whp.

I honestly don't know my track's elevation because it's kinda "Ghetto" Thudnervalleydragways.com btw is the site but i couldn't seem to find anything on there. And i had my car dyno'd before the EMS and my tune was quite ****ty prior, like 3*s of timing and crazy A/F ratios. but now my EMS is dialed at 26psi, hopefully i can run 28-30 monday when i switch to a GM boost controller, so those are guesses but probably right around that area.

I am certain you did not hit 435whp with only 26psi. What dyno was it, and what was the correction factor? I've been trying to ask this. Are you saying the 435 was BEFORE the aem ems? I'm afraid the numbers must be wrong.

You don't need to know the track elevation - just the elevation where you live. Marion, SD, has an elevation of 1450, so you don't have any altitude effects to your dyno or power like we do.

it was 389hp 380 ft/tq with out the ems at 26psi. Currently with the EMS running 29-30psi i'm GUESSING right around 420. I'm sure it sounds like a huge gains with the EMS but my tune was HORRIBLE. 3-4*s of timing with about 5 counts of knock or more all the way through power with stupidly lean A/Fs. Now it's 11.3 a/f with 10-11*s of timing, hoping we can increase that a bit more with the GMBCS monday. then hopefully get it tuned a little better and get everything dialed.

Where did the 435/395 come from? What power level were you at when you hit the 12.2 @ 114? You said you had 435/395, but you just said you're estimating 420 now? I'm confused.

If your tune was that bad, you would not have hit 389whp at 26psi. You also wouldn't have less peak torque than peak whp if you were running 26psi. None of your numbers add up.

I'm still trying to glean from you the dyno, dyno type, and correction factors used.

How about instead of asking, you go try and do it?

If you can't, then it doesn't matter if your setup can or not; you can't drive.

If it can, then hooray. Why are you wasting time on a forum looking for answers?

Im thinking that 435 is on a dyno jet resulting to a mustang prolly around 380
so thats prolly where the 12 second run come in

No, not at all. I ran 12.2s with 305whp on a Dynojet. 435 is in a completely different realm and would show traps above 120. I don't think he ever dyno'd 435 if you notice his last post estimating 420 on his current setup.

114.xx traps shows 350-360whp on a Dynojet depending on the weight.
