First 1/4 results (another 11sec fpgreen)

First time getting to the 1/4! My best 1/8 mile time this season is 7.01@99mph. I had some false knock issues with the car on all passes last night at the 1/4 but did manage a pretty decent time.

My peak timing was probably 13* or less on this run on C14 with 20ish counts of false knock This is on a basic bolt on FP green setup with baby HKS 264 cams, stock ecu, motor with 71k miles etc..

Once my issue is sorted out I will head back up and try for a 10 sec pass (traps should be in the low 120's)

Either you truly were having significant issues, or the 1/8th-mile track timers are off. We'll know more when you go back, but 11.3s are still quick no matter what...especially for such a low trap (this does support your claim of issues, because it's quite low).

Thanks!

There is a sure issue here check out this log (there is no boost or afr the cable came loose on the launch). I've never seen knock like this on my car... something funky is up for sure.

What is the highest speed you ever trapped?

How much boost were you running?

Looks like the ECU was attempting to control the hopefully false knock.

That's my first 1/4 trip to date. I've been doing the local 1/8th mile for some time now... typical 1/8 trap is 97-99mph.

This was around 30psi. Not only did I have knock my BCS failed. I've switched back to a MBC and found a possible issue with the gas I was using and some mechanical noises... car is back to 100% now. I'd say I could run damn near this well on pump gas with the issues fixed I'd say.

Here is a video: http://videos.streetfire.net/video/Andys-EVO_185705.htm I spun pretty bad off the line so I was suprised the ET was as good as it was.

That seems like a huge margin of error. I don't think my trap was that much off I just think I had some issues with the car and it wasn't 100% :\

Do you get knock like that when you make a single gear pull..... like starting in 4th at 3k rpm?

No I drove the car there with no knock at all... once the gas (c14) went in it started. I can run Sunoco 100oct with the same tune with no issues. Season is over but I plan to be back out next year with the fp red
