First time at track, 12.6 then 11.9

Went to the track for the first time since I bought my evo.

I didn't practice launching on my exedy at all so I was skeptical on getting decent times. I also turned the boost down a bit just in case.

The very first run shifting at 7k rpm :

60'...1.930
330....5.423
1/8....8.260
MPH....88.92
1000....10.674
1/4.....12.693
MPH....111.02

The second run shifting at 7.6k rpm and spinning first :

60'...1.808
330...5.172
1/8...7.824
MPH....93.33
1000...10.072
1/4....11.980
MPH....119.33

For the first time, I thought having a IX MR sucked.
I should be trapping 123+mph but I guess my poor driving + IX MR gearing + lower boost = 119mph.

Once I get retuned for better weather, I'll try again with boost unchanged and better prepared!

Of course pump gas.

Getting those times on pump is bad enough.

If I used race gas, I'd hit myself

New turbos and new clutches make a track day very difficult the first couple of times. Keep practicing Bobby and your times will improve a bunch. Not that you didn't already know that.
