We have decided to go back one last time this yr to better our time. Going to try to better our 60ft that 9.38 was with a 1.7 60ft if we drop it down at least in the 1.5's with clean pass who knows. Plus we will be making a few additions to the car. We will have to see what happens, i will keep you guys posted on new times.

thanks, eric

If you can run 9.38 on a stroker there is NO reason not to run a 2.3 unless you are trying to go nines, or cannot afford one.....

GREAT WORK!

Nice work, what are you revving it to?

I've been revving my 2.3l to 9k for several years now - you just need to add full diameter oiling grooves to the main bearings and they will live. 1/8" wide grooves, cut down to the bearing backing.

Have you considered an aftermarket final drive?

Maybe this info helps...

EVOLUTION DRAG RACE FINAL DRIVE GEARING
The 3.73 final drive gearset is 17% taller than the OEM final drive ratio that
is found in the 5 speed transmission. Stout by design and intended for high
power stroker motor EVOs that are being drag raced and those who want to explore
life above 200mph. The gearset is precision ground after heat treating and is
very quiet, easy to install and no modifications required and the speedometer
will read correctly. Note: This gearing makes all the gears have a higher top
speed and 1st gear will take some getting used to.
Call or email for details about having your transmission built with this
gearing.

Includes:

• 3.73 output shaft and final drive gear
• Billet center differential cover

SPEED @ RPM = 7500
4.53 - 4.11 - 3.73 final drive

1st = 40 - 47 - 50mph
2nd = 64 -70 - 77mph
3rd= 89 - 97 - 106mph
4th = 122 - 132 - 145mph
5th = 174 - 190 - 210mph
