I dont understand why it matters how much i made on any dyno. Not to be rude or mean. I really have no clue what the car makes. i just drive the car. as to what we did in are math the day it went 126mph and the weight of the car. it comes out to ~479 WHP.

Thank you
~Mike

479 on the shops dyno maybe...450 on TT's...

your cars lighter then Manny's so it works out right...and about 500 lbs less then mine and I am making 450 on TT's dyno at the same boost...but on a 2.0...stock motor...not a 2.1...

i mean saying a dd full interior offends guys like me with full interior heavy cars...

Im offend you say my car is so light which is not. what do you think my car is a race car? well its not its a nice street driving car.

manny car is lighter then mine. my car was 2720lb since then it now has full TBE, full interior, sun roof, and a bunch of mics part.

and yes, i still have not got a chance to take it to a scale yet. i have been guess on weight since i weight more or less all the parts i take out and in.

i have no clue what it makes on any dyno i just do the math from et/mph to weight. which = WHP. dyno's are tuning tools.

thats what im trying to tell you i dont have a dyno sheet, i dont care about number also. i just care about getting in the car and driving thats all i do. The Shop and Junior do the rest!

why are you trying to fight with me?

i have no dyno sheet the only ones i have are the ones back in the heyy days. when i got a hard on for making 20more hp over my friends. but, most of my friends are out of the car loop and into making money or getting married. so there for all i care about is making them et and mph times.

Some people use their dyno numbers as a point of reference as to what 1/4 mile times they could expect to see. The calculations of 1/4 mile and ET to weight are only so accurate, things like gear ratio and tire size often skew those results.
most people just ask, such as myself, cause we are curious to see what kind of WHP relates to what times. So if i have a goal of running 10's, i know I need at least "XXX" amount of HP to not waste my trip to the track.

Quit beating up on Mike. The hp estimates go the other way around. Dyno numbers vary between each dyno. Too many people live by their dyno print outs until they get to the track and leave with broken hearts. You tell how much power you make by your trap speed. As long as you don't suck at driving, you will get a better understanding than your dyno sheet. From how Buschur explains his mustang, my car would probably make only 350whp on it. Does a 350whp car trap 120mph? Thats why you use a dyno for tuning and peronal reference but brag all you want after the track. And by the way, Turbotrix's Dynojet is the new heartbreaker dyno. You need a 100 shot just to spin the rollers! LOL

You setup must not be setup right. big turbo like that should be easy going 125mph.

If you want help bring it by the shop and we can take a look at it.

Some people are missing the point when it comes to HP in relation to 1/4 mile times..

A 1/4 Mile ET depends on several factors.
Horse Power obviously being the first, lets face it, HP is needed to go fast.

Vehicle weight to HP ratio. A vehicles weight will affect the ET, depending on the HP to weight ratio. Generally for every 100lbs shaved off, you would expect about 1 tenth off your et with no changes. Providing traction, track conditions and driver remain unchanged. Lets say your vehicle is heavy, you can make up for it by adding more power. Or you can go faster by stripping weight from it..

Gear and tire ratio
often one of the most overlooked factors, mostly in Import Drag racers... Generally you want to be crossing the 1/4 mile mark in your 1.1 gear at your redline. The proper gear and tire size is critical for your set up. For example, when I ran my 350Z with a MT drag radial that was 26" in height, i would be forced to shift into 5th gear by the end of the trap as i was trapping 135-138mph. When i changed to a 27.5" tire, I would then cross the 1/4 Mile mark at redline in 4th gear, saving me an extra shift. This alone knocked off about 3 tenths of a second and retained the MPH around 135-136.

Now in my case, my car would go 10.4 at 19-20 psi with me driving weighing in at 3580lbs with me in it. We were utilizing a CF rear deck and were loosing weight over the rear tires which effected our 60ft and traction a bit.

When I let my friend drive and shaved some weight, about 200lbs, with everything remaining the same, he ran a 10.1 second pass in my car. The car weighed 3350 then.

We put the rear deck back on for weight over the wheels, and weighed in at 3560 again, with me driving...We raised the boost 2 psi and went 10.0 with a 1.52 60 Ft. The car now squats a little too much and we need to adjust the suspension if we continue to drag it..
