12.22 @ 119 spinning....

Since I have yet to run my car I took it to the track yesterday. Only got 2 runs in. My first run I somehow red lighted so I didn't get my time but I launched perfectly with very little spinning. Second run I was spinning all of first and into second and finally got traction in 3rd. For some reason they had it where you couldn't drive around the water box.

Heres the info from the time slip on my second run. Let me know what you guys think.

60' 2.237
330 5.444
1/8 8.079
MPH 92.98
1000 10.334
1/4 12.225
MPH 119.53

Making 440ish on CBRD's mustang dyno.

Thats a upper mid 11's with that trap speed. You def need to work on your 60 ft's though. Do some research about tire pressure and work on your starts, try different scenarios about tire pressure and launching. You should be doing 11.7s with that trap speed.

HMM D are you still having to shift to 5th with your gears? It just seems like your 5-6mph off

Nope let 4th gear ride out to 8k. I feel like my car is quite a bit slower then it should be so I'm stumped.

My 60's are fine...doesn't help when you can't drive around the water box and spin through first and second. lol Like I said my first run where I didn't loose traction was definitely a lot faster then my second run. I know this because I hit the 8200rpm rev limiter in 4th gear right before the lasers. Second run I didn't hit it till afterwards.

They won't let you drive around the water box at your local track..?..that sux. They put a stupid barrel up at our track and move it into the groove if you aren't on slicks. We have to start outta the groove. I might try spinning the tires if I had to go thru the water. Ignorant track people dont know what an AWD is or how to stage them....oh well very good trap

Yeah I know right. They had cones up on both sides and the only opening was just big enough for a car to fit through. Didn't make any sense at all. The first run there was practically no water in the box from people burning out, but the second was like a small pond.

Looking forward to going back to the track in the spring time. Possibly with more power.

do you still have the stereo and everything else thats normally in the car? Do you know how heavy you actually are?
I dont drag much as you know so i dont know the exact calculations are but 2.2 sixty. Take .5 sec off would put you mid or low mid 11s

You picked up good power on tha back half (27mph)..It's cold out and difficult to hook with an evo especially driving through the water...I had problems last time at the track and decided to hang it p for the rest of the year..

Yeah still have the stereo and twin 10s in the trunk. I'f I had to guess I'd say 3500+lbs easily with 18's and the big brake kit.

I really want to run again at a properly prepped track. Capitol was just a joke this past weekend.

I would think my car would be good for an 11.3-11.4 fairly easy with a good 60 foot time.

Thanks. Like I said....I'm really excited to get some runs in in the spring time to see what this car can do when it can actually hook. It was just too cold out that day to get any good times in.
