Lol, Rexspeed hood vents on the rear bumper..... I think jid2 made some vents for the rear bumper. Also back in the honda days a company made them.. STP I think?

Huh? The Brits figured it out, so they made the Japanese spec rear bumper on a Japanese car? ................

Jeremy Clarkson invented the evo, plain and simple. I knew that, i was kidding, I merely said this because they test everything in Top Gear.

Cutting holes in the rear bumper doesn't have the effect that most people think

Im getting my beatrush underpanel installed tomorrow

Sorry, but i cant perform a test. The closest 1/4 mile is about 1 1/2 hrs away.

I'll be sure to inform if i feel any differences in the car at high speeds.

Wow thanks a lot Indy, I knew Buschur would have tested this already

So indeed it does help out, and it seems that the JDM rear bumper with the diffuser diverted the flow of air to where it was supposed to.

Lots of good info, thanks again.

Wow that came out great! Trimming it flush with the exhaust opening was a good idea. I'd like to do that for both cosmetics and functionality but I know I'd destroy my bumper first time around.. Custom fab an underpanel for that and it's 100% FTW...

Drop the rear wing, add a VG and JDM Evo IX rear bumper and watch the drag numbers fall away. Add Buschur's undertrays and it gets even better. The dead or low pressure area behind the trunk get smaller with each mod.

I built the first set of front shutters in 06 when I got my RS for a landspeed project. We put them on 9sec9's car to clean up the front end. It's not one magic part but the sum of many small ones.

I'm working on a time attack version with brake ducts which will make the cars running splitters more efficient.

This is a simple solution that works, proven by some of the quickest and fastest Evo's on this forum. Often it's the common sense solutions that work the best.

Thanks for chiming in on this Indy. Many of you may not know it but Indy was formerly employed at a wind tunnel, he's one of the very few people on this forum who have real world experience in that area. It is also how him and I first met here on EVOm, during our testing of the front and rear panels he contacted me.

Also, as soon as the weather gets warm enough for me to want to function outside I have some very-very cool stuff we are going to do in this area. It's going to make for some very intesting threads. I don't want to go into it, just wait and see what we have in store when we get a warm enough day
