13.094 @ 104.46

First time I've ran the car with its current setup - has everything in sig except the clutch isn't installed yet. This was on a full tank of 93 octant gas (yeah, I'm stupid and filled it all the way up this morning without thinking) at a very LOW boost setting of 1.2 bar. I could have pushed it further, but it was hot and I didn't want to risk it. I'm also running a very safe A/F ratio on the top end (was 02 wideband tuned by Kris @ AMS with a good safety margin).

R/T - .460
60' - 1.777
330 - 5.371
1/8 - 8.345
MPH - 81.69
1000 - 10.933
1/4 - 13.094
MPH - 104.46

Next time will be race gas, 1.4 bar and hopefully if I'm not a dumbass - a less than half full tank.

I won't be happy until 11's, so I'll be looking for a turbo kit soon.

hehe, kinda slow for all your mods. I would like to see the boost a little higher and some 103 in the car. I bet you would be mid to low 12's with those two things, given a dry, cool day. How do you like the clutch? Mine just went out and I think that I may have to end up paying for a new one. I want an ACT but I dont think they have one out yet.

It is actually slow for his mods. When I saw his heading for his post, I thought he ran his car stock. Then I saw the amount of mods on his car. Congratulations, you just spent thousands of dollars to run a stock time.

Don't be an ***. It was really hot and humid, I'm on a full tank and running 1.2 bar (I believe stock peak is 1.3 bar) with a wide safety margin on my A/F ratio... and not everyone is John Force. I'd actually like to keep my tranny in one piece.

How's your Evo running?

that is extremely slow for all those mods... who races with a full tank of gas? Did it catch you by surprise?

yeah, as I said in the first post I filled it up by accident - I normally get gas on the way to work and I was stuck in my normal day-in / day-out routine in my head. Plus it's not really that many performance mods; I only have the exhaust, emanage, boost control (turned down to 1.2 bar) and cams. Everything else is fluff or stock. Not that much invested really.

yeah, give the man a break. he doesn't want to wreck his baby. I'm sure i could have twisted out better than 13.6 on my first time running but i figured i'd rather salvage what's left of the clutch and not beat the ****e out of it too much.

It was low 300's, I got it from Dustin at DRC Imports who is on this board all the time - great price!! Kris @ AMS street tuned it and in talking with him today, he said it is not lean on the top end. I've ordered an EGT gauge with peak hold that I'm waiting for; once it get's in I'm going to tune it out myself. Right now, I have not diagnostic way to tune it on my own.

I'll get mid 12's once I get some race gas in it, lean it out, and turn back up the boost. I thought 13.0 on 1.2 bar and a rich tune was pretty good - but you can't always make everyone happy. I guess you'd really be hating the guy in the Viper who ran 13.2 @ 118 or the Z06 who ran 13.5!!

Not bad for 17 psi peak. I run similiar times and mph but I run at 1.4 bar peak on 93 octane. When you turn the boost up to 1.4 your going to fly! What were your shift points? Also, what is the target a/f ratio for your street tune?

"I only have the exhaust, emanage, boost control (turned down to 1.2 bar) and cams. Everything else is fluff or stock..."

Well, dont' forget the clutch, flywheel, and intercooler upgrade. No one spends that kind of money on fluff. Well, no respectable car lovers, anyway.

Your times aren't that bad. You don't have much done to the car...a full tank of gas will run you about 100 lbs (I'm going off of my tank size which is 14.5 gal, but it should be in the ballpark). You made it clear you don't drive it to break it. I am guessing you weren't speed-shifting (I never do). Weather check for your area/date put it very warm and high humidity. Barometric pressure wasn't ideal either. Track elevation is 700 ft. (my local track is 44 ft.!). And we can't say what track conditions were like.

ET is a bad example of a car's performance. Trap speeds are a much better indicator. Both your ET and your traps, however, indicate a car that is faster than stock. That, given the above "disclaimers," should make you feel good. The car is definitely capapble of faster should condtions be met and should you decide to drive it harder.

Good run. You'd kick my a$$ anyway. Until I pick up my 944, that is...

Hey Avatar does the car launch a lot better with the exedey clutch? My car has been at the dealer since monday getting the exedey installed in mine. Are you able to launch a lot higher? Does it hook better?

"bring the 944, I dont think you will do much better..."

lol. I hate to break it to ya, but my G60 has already smacked down two Evo8's. And a Stage 3 944 Turbo makes my G60 look like a Geo.

I'm not a drag racer...I'd rather play on a road course or a deserted highway. The Evo's I beat were from 40-140mph, not off the line. But it was clear they were playing catch-up. I'm not about to race an AWD off the line in a Corrado.

The 944 is no dragster either, but with healthy cars clocking high 12's with nothing more than chips, MAF upgrade, intake and exhaust...I don't think that will be too much of a problem. Then there's the turbo upgrade, the headwork, and possbily the 3.0L conversion. Mmm, yummy!
