2009 Quickest / Fastest Evo's List..
I hope a mod cleans all this up, but what does BS have to do with being humble? The sentence doesn't make any sense.
And please enlighten me on the BS you read. You've perked my interest.
Brian and I worked it out and we're cool now- just a misunderstanding. He's a great guy and a hell of a driver- with a hell of an evo. I'm rootin' for him. I have no problem with anyone on this forum.

I hope you get in the 8's for sure Brian! I'm certainly ready for the tracks to open here myself. I don't expect to be the quickest or the fastest with the RS but I certainly do expect it to be in the 8's this year. The weather here is finally getting nice, I think the track opens for the first time in the middle of April. Sadly, this year the track rentals are done and over with, they are no more at Summit Motorsports Park. Now it will be a matter of waiting in lines for hours on end to get one pass and I am no fan of doing that. I'd like to get out eary with the car, make the runs I need to finish off the goals and then that may be it other than our own race events and a few others. The next goal will have to be to see if the car can touch 200 mph in the mile. The track here is just too crowded, 300-400 cars on a slow night.

Especially when needing to make small adjustments to the tune and the launch settings/technique and letting off early only to come around and sit in the pits for an hour

Anyway not much to speak of as the car was only leaving with 8psi off the line and bogging bad
So i will post this up since it's my first official outing for 2009 kinda embarassing but it's still a work in progress

PATRICK B. - 3/28/09 - FULL FUNCTION - EVO9 RS - 2.0L/35R - 10.7@137MPH 1.8 60FT

Our tuner Sean was busy so all the crucial adjustments were being made via phone conversations as i don't care to make those adjustments myself normally.....needless to say w/o him checking my logs it was a bit of a task to relay info via phone and try to figure out the aem stuff (i need to get my butt in gear and play with it more).
After an easy, no launch coasting pass to get the afr checked out in 4th we leaned it out a bit and tried to work on the launch a bit.
I made that pass checked the logs for the afr and totally spaced out and didn't see the 2 step only building a whopping 8 psi
Car was breaking up so we put fresh plugs in and it, made a pass, bogged a little but i stayed in it to log again.I had to hot lap it and didn't get a chance to see the logs......
Made 1 more pass and bogged again and by that time i realized i really needed to change something but the "BIG DOGS" 6sec/200mph cars took over

So here's a vid of the best pass when it bogged and i stayed in it to practice and log 10.7 @ 137mph 1.8 60 ft.......didn't get the slip so couldn't see the 1/8mi stuff.

We'll be back out in a week or two leaving the line with 12-17psi off the line this time hoping to get closer to the 9 sec range.
