Well, I've decided to go ahead and try it out. So far the only mod I have is Buschurs catback. What do you guys think i should run? Keep in mind this will be my first time ever at a track(strip). Also, how much power does it take to be able to spin the tires on this thing? I actually went ahead and dumped the clutch at around 5krpms for the first time, and like i've read, all it did was bog down.

 

because you dumped the clutch thats why it bogged..... you should probably do some searching about how to launch before you break something.. you are supposed to slip the clutch

yea i just made a quick run to town and slipped it. Much much better lol. Just wondering what I should be expecting to run in the 1/4.

 

Most likely mid to low 13's.

 

since you have a Evo X, you have a rev limiter,be at a complete stop put it in 1st gear then press the gas & the needle should bounce right around 5,500rpms...then slip the cluth and the rest is on you : )... on your 1st pass you will probably run a 14.xx or worse depending on the launch... with a good driver your car should run 13.5x - 13.8x
