New Drag Radial From Toyo

Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. has launched the Proxes TQ, the company’s first DOT-approved drag radial.
Toyo said the tire features a new drag radial tread compound, strengthened radial construction, and an optimized asymmetric tread design that delivers “superior grip, straight-line performance, and high-speed stability down the track yet low noise on the drive home.”

The tire is now available in sizes P255/50R16, P275/45R16, P275/40R17, P315/35R17, P345/40R17 and P315/35R18.

Tell them to make a 265/35/18, 255/35/18 or a 255/40/17, 265/40/17.

Yeah, useless tire. Another company that wants to sell two tires each to Vette's, Vipers, Mustangs etc.

Since I go through one or two pairs of DRs a year, I'd say that's not a bad proposition for them.
