Help breakdown my timeslip

Ok i need some input on what i might have done wrong at the track. I feel with my trap speed i should have maybe cut a better 1/4 time. I am very pleased with the cars performance just looking for some simple insight on where i might have went wrong (driving technique). I am running an evo 8 with percision 61mm ball bearing turbo gsc 280's and basic bolt ons.

R/t .552
60' 1.717
330 5.075
1/8 7.822
mph 88.21
1000 10.178
1/4 12.119
mph 119. 73

YOur right..119 traps should be 11.7..I did a 12.2 @113 satruday @ 4500ft.. from your time slip the area to look at is in the 1/8 mile..your mph is exactly what mine was for the 12.2. your top end is good..what fuel are you running?

how's your shifting??? that's what i would look at. the 60' is good, the mph is good, but the ET is not too good for that speed. you "could" be mid 11s with that trap speed and a little quicker 60' time.

Agree..your shifting how is that..if you have the ability to log your car (evoscan mitsulogger) do a 1/4 mile logged run and examine your shift point times. I was also suffering in my shifting.

Yeah don't feel bad. The trap speed is right there with the HP. When I had 430awhp, I was trapping 120-122. The driving can be improved a bit. Some people can get 11.5 with that trap speed, but I am not on of them. I am a horrible driver :-) So your car is strong and on the street it will be a diffrent story. Many will have a hard time keeping up.

looks like you are losing boost between shifts big time, but the car picks up really well in 4th..

Your MPH is good enough for mid 11's. From a quick glance and not knowing much about the car I would say your leaving some on the table with your 60 foot and shifting could use some help. Your 1/8th MPH is a little low and your gaining a lot in the back half. Most of us will be in 4th gear before the 1/8th and with 31-32 mph gain in the back show your car is making some nice power. I would say 380 on a mustang dyno and 425-430 on a dynojet, etc..

Just work on your driving and it will only get better!

Agreed...I trap 92 mph in the 1/8 with a good 60' and around 415whp, log the runs(if you can)....only way i see it is you need to shift faster since you do all the shifting in the 1/8 and the car does the rest in the back half. Good luck

Also, if you throw up a chart of your dyno sheet, the majority of us that have done some drag racing can pick the best shift point for you as far as rpm goes to help make your runs quicker.

Yeah that thing should be trapping low 90's in the mph in the 1/8 mile.

By looking at your timeslip, I'd say your 1-2 shift is hurting you a lot. With that 60ft and your powerlevel, it should be at least around the 4.8 range. I guarantee if you could get it there, you'll be seeing mid 11's. That is assuming you can hit the rest of the gears just.

I was able to hit high 11.3's low 11.4's with that mph with a 1.64 60ft. As dsmfan95 said, you need to practice your 1st to 2nd shift and get the speed up. Your 60ft can be improved but is not hurting you nearly as much as the shifting speed. If you do not have it already I highly recommend installing Tephra's NLTS patch and shift that way. Based on your current time you should see drastic improvements with that patch.
