Drag tire for 17" rim, what are you running?

Hoosiers wont be out for 8-12 weeks and I need something now! Thinking of the Direzza Z1's in a 245/45-17. What are you running on a 17" rim? Planning on putting these on the Enkei RPF1's, 17x8.5 with a +30 offset because thay are only 16 LBS. Give me your thoughts!

Yea the Star Specs are not a good drag tire at all your better off with some cheap all-season tires for the meanwhile until the Hoosier DR comes out I couldn't get the car to 60' for nothing with the Z1's plus the side wall is very stiff this tire is more of a favorite for the Auto-X guy's please don't get them it would be a waste oh extra cash you could put toward something else on your car I suggest if you can't wait find some BFG DR's nothing but good reviews for those. But the Hoosiers look very good I know someone that is testing the 225 version on his audi and he had posted that he cut a 1.5 with them that's just as good as the QTP's so they are defenetly gonna be well worthed. Hope this helps your decision out a bit.

Buy the cheapest piece of **** that comes in 245/45/17. Try a kumho. Cheap usually means soft.

I thought cheap meant hard?

Look at the treadwear of some of the cheaper all-seasons. around 400 treadwear. That's not a soft tire.
