9 sec bounty hunting!

9 sec bounty hunting!
Well i tried my best but the track simply would not allow it to happen.
I did try everything:
- Burnout/no burnout
- Tire pressures
- Time while on 2 step
- Actuation of clutch
- EVERYTHING but it wasn't meant to be.
It was so hit or miss in both lanes if i tried to launch hard it spun hard it wanted a more gentle engagement which killed the 60fts........they were so erratic from mid 1.5's to 1.7's
I tried not to get too down on myself as we did get to back up the MPH from the last race and even bettered it and my shifting seems to be getting better and better
Weird night over all had to sit in traffic for 3 hrs getting to Sacramento, missed 2nd gear (twice)........haven't done that in a while , and then saw someone get run over on the freeway on the way home
Anyway here are the 2 best runs from the night i ran a bunch of times actually but some were spins or mis-shifts etc so if you want to see thee videos i'd be happy to post them up as well but don't want to bore you
10.154 @ 142.055 mph

10.175 @ 142.832 mph (shifting was on point!)

I'm soo happy with the car's performance as she held up perfect it was just my driving that needed some work and mainly the track.........but no excuses i'm thrilled to have a low 10 sec brawler...........just gotta work a little harder for that 9.
I can't believe i'm THAT close still but it has really got a fire inside me to get back out ASAP to claim the bounty............this is soooo much FUN
I don't think this set-up is quite maxed out yet so i don't want to change any parts just yet that would feel like i'm cheating myself
So who's going out next?

Pat if it was easy everyone would be doing it, it's still a great effort. I'm sure after looking at the logs you will find where you need to improve. 7 passes in one day is plenty of work for anybody. Plug your numbers in http://www.sccoa.com/faq/dragetcalculator.html and compare them to your best run. Use this site to keep track of the DA numbers http://www.dragtimes.com/da-density-...calculator.php to track improvements based upon weather conditions. You just might be fighting the air for the day. Good Luck, Indy
