My first trip to the drag strip 09 RA

My wifey got me tickets to the route 66 raceway.
I got a few pics
I was #713
got there around 11am (2hr drive) It was about 85F
First run temp was 93F. Wished I had a FMIC
had a hard time with the launches. I did the first 2 runs in auto sport.
The third one I put the car in manual and used the paddles

Is it just me or is the time & mph a bit on the slow side. I would expect those times from a stock ralliart but considering the flash and the exhaust I would hope for faster times?

It's not just you I'm thinking his launch RPM was probably about 750. Definately did not load it up at all.

def. needs to work on that launch if you wanna hit 13's. especially with what you got on.
I hit mid 13's all day, with just an AMS tune. but you gotta launch it right.

Lol, you beat me to it. ET's aren't affected by a persons reaction time. A better 60' and shift points would impact ET's.

The "canned" tune was created off of a dyno run. That would be why they have a shop car, that is currently pushing 370wph. My tune was sightly detuned because I still have the stock BOV and they didn't wanna crack it from to much boost.

If it's any help to you...
When I race I have my foot on the brake, and the other foot on the gas at 3000 RPM. When it's time to launch, it launches. There is ZERO lag and you are off!

im not saying its bad tune, but it could be tweaked for you specifically
I think he went into the shop and they tuned him specifically.

+1

I went to the track last fri and Launched that biotch 5-6 times! the first 2 times it didn't rev up to 3000rpm cause it was way too hot and I had just traveled 30 miles... I got my *** handed to my by my friend in his 06 'Rex due to the poor launch; let her rest 10 minutes, then got back on and creamed everybody else lol (including a 'stang GT and Civic Si's did NOT want to run me)

too bad they had no time slip, track's only 1/8 of a mile

practice your launch and you'll be good; Here's a video to show you EXACTLY where to launch it:

Yea! I'm gonna work on it. There is another strip closer that I'm gonna hit up in a few weeks. I drove 70 mi to that one. It was really nice tho. Not worth the drive and wait. We had to wait an hour between runs.
