"The Showdown" 8-16-2009 - Official Photo Thread
Hey Jalal, can you take down the one with my plate showing please and add this one with it blurred and my blog logo. I'm gonna pm you about a photo shoot as well, I love your skillz!
I would like to say thank you to everyone that came by the booth and had some time to talk with us. I think I must of dropped 5lbs over the course of the day sweating....it was a SCORCHER!
Part of drag racing is breaking and we did our fair share on Sunday. Our reluctor wheel bent and decided to take out our cam angle sensor ending our day. The carbon copy car we brought did VERY Well. On only 33psi she ran some shakedown runs and was able to put down a 10.0@146mph. Scott's EVO 1 was tearing it up running 9.2's and looking like a rocket in the process.
I want to take some time out and personally thank TurboTrix and Ivey Tune. Both are AMS dealers and both went out of their way to help us out while we were there. Sean and his guys let us use their shop on Friday for some last minute adjustments on the Black car. Then on Saturday the guys at TurboTrix made us feel at home all day letting us use the dyno, tools...hell ANYTHING we wanted. So Mark, Keith, Jeff, Sean and everyone else that helped us out...THANK YOU! It really was one of the coolest events I have been to and everyone was all smiles all weekend.

When it comes to making 1000whp out of a 2 liter 4 banger not everything is as easy as it seems to people outside the industry. We know that things break and parts fail, but what differentiates the real racers from the people who do this as a hobby is how fast you can turn the car around and get it back out on the track!!!
Seeing how quickly and professionally you guys operated as soon as the car entered our facility was a treat! Seeing the cars up close in person gives you a unique perspective on the amount of time, engineering, and craftsmanship that goes into a properly sorted car.
Hopefully we see you guys at a Redline event sometime soon!
Sam
