A bunch of the old NHRA Hot Rod cars are getting together at Englishtown on the 3rd and 4th and there is a rumor that the EVOs don't want to show up because they are scared to get their **** pushed in by a bunch of Hondas. You guys going to let them treat you like that?

This will be the best drag race of the year so don't miss it

 

We got a call at the shop today about that. We normally run in the 9.0 index class. That class has been changed to the 10.0 index so we were going to run the Quick 32 class if we bring out the Evo. They were speculating 6 cars with a $333 buy in. The winner would take home $2k. I'd rather take my chances in one of the other classes.

I think there are going to be more cars now that some of the old school guys have committed to come out. Why not gather some of the EVO guys with fast cars and give it a shot? This Outlaw style of event is kind of a last ditch effort at saving organized sport compact drag racing, and it would be really cool to see the AWDs battling it out with the FWDs. Who knows....Hot Rod makes a good showing this year and it could be like the Outlaw FWD stuff next year and payout $10,000-15,000 with bounties.

I guess guys like that have a lot of respect for the Evo. To fear something is also to respect it's power.

Steve has been working hard all year trying to get the HR cars to come out to an event and run. I believe Gary G is going to come out along with some racers from Canada and maybe Chuck S. It would would make for a good show if the FWD are battling it out with the AWD cars.

They should be. I doubt any EVO that is currently running can keep up with some of the old Hot Rod cars of years past while managing to go rounds.

 

Not where I'm from, they're all slow and LOUD as hell its SO ANNOYING. I love it when they try to race me, as much as I want to I look around (In my car) and remember that I'm the one in the Sexy Azz EVO and that me DUSTING them would prove nothing. lol my exhaust cost more than there whole car.

 

But the hot rod cars are to scared to allow RWD cars in the class...
They got the ***** to call awd scared..

I'm part of the honda crews, and that is all rumors. The honda guys always try to pick on cars that are faster, that's it..

 

Relax guys...I'm just trying to get some people out there to race. If you knew what you were talking about, you'd know that there isn't an EVO here with enough sac to keep up with the FWDs in this class The ones that might have a shot are one hit wonders!
