My FS635 EVO IX at the Etown Showdown

What a great day and event! One of the best times ever with the car and the tuning community!

I ran in the Heads Up class with my full interior 3380 weighted EVO IX on pumpgas!

Managed the following times:

11.52@127.5 (1.92 60ft)
11.68@125.5 (1.94 60ft)
11.52@124.0 (1.82 60ft)
11.46@127.2 (1.89 60ft)

I lost in the semis by the gutted grey EVO III with the hoosiers. I was running on my snow tires where i had ZERO traction! My launches looked more like burnouts than launches! Also you can tell that i dont really push the car on the gearchanges!

Also i was running very rich, probably because of the 120 degree IATs that i was seeing and that probably hurt the traps a little bit. Again straight pump 93 octane from Gulf, 3380 pounds with driver, snow tires, built block, FS 635, stock head, stock intake manifold, stock tb...

Can't wait to run the car again on a cooler day now that i am starting getting used to of the new setup!

And here some videos!

11.52 pass

11.6 pass camera 1

11.6 pass camera 2

2nd 11.52 pass

11.4 pass semi finals

The car definitely hasn't really shown its true potential! The good thing however is that every time that i go to the track and i return home improved and thats the fun part!

Ohh and some photos from EVOm members who i thank!

I guess the AMR car was the highlight but at least i can still see me! LOL

27-28psi

I was seeing 28s in 4th. I am using a mbc for boost control.

The car should have ran higher traps, probably around 129-131 but as i said because of the heat i was running wayyy rich, around 10.3-10.5s. I believe its tuned to a flat 11

Kouz are you shifting into 5th?

Im running 11.4s @ 125 and running out of gearing it seems...also doesn't help my 2.0 60's which are just like yours. Burning out all first!

No I am staying in 4th. I have the longer 4th from the viii and with my 9000rpm limiter, the car can pull well over 130...

What size wheel? My snow tires are 235/45-17 like the stock Advans.

Have you had a chance to run this on race gas yet? Those are some nice passes. I was there that day and it was hot! How do you like the spool on this turbo? Too laggy for daily driving?

No racegas yet, but i will really try and have the car tuned before season end!

The turbo is definitely laggy but i dont really mind. MEGA power is always a downshift away!
