What a weekend!! 35R 162 MPH!! (RSD) Real Street Drags

This past Friday we made it out to Great Lakes Drag away in Wisconsin to a event that Strictly Modified sponsors called RSD( Real street drags). To make a long story short they bring street racers to the drag strip to race, they keep the time clocks off on the board but keep the trees on and still get a time slip. However in between "street racing" they have time runs which is what we were there for.

Strictly Modified showed up to GLD with three cars, 2 Evos and 1 Dsm. First and foremost I would like to congratulate Devin(tech and tuner for Strictly Modified) for his 162 MPH trap on a 35R! This car consistently ran 9.4 w 1.5 60ft's. However it kept spinning even with lowering the tire pressure. I guess thats what happens on a high HP car when its 60 degrees out huh?

Evosick2332(Evom Member) - Last weekend ran his FPRED powered evo and ran a 11.37 with 1.7 60ft. This past friday we threw a set of BFG drag radials on the car and were able to get the 60ft. down to 1.68 which was enough to consistently run 11.0!! This car was also spinning really bad i'm sure ten's is in reach for this car once we work out the suspension issues. Not bad for 26 psi on a stock block huh?

Mirjan's 35r powered evo could not get a clean pass due to transmission issues. The car kept locking him out of 2nd gear so we just called it quits. Transmission will be out of the car shortly and we will have it up and running in no time so that we can make it out the next RSD, the best time out of this evo to date was 10.30 at the buschur shoot out with a 1.8 60ft.

Friday was a looong day, between working on cars all day , getting the cars strapped up and race ready, All the videos will be uploaded and posted tomorrow. I just couldn't wait to share with how you guys how our Friday night went. Stay tuned as we make progress with these amazingly built machines.

Videos are posted on post #13
