any suggestions for 1st time to track

I searched and didn't find anything useful for someone's 1st time to the track...Any tips or advice would be great.

I plan on going on the 11th, I have a evo 9 (full weight ssl) with all-season tires, exedy twin hd, 3 inch tbe (no cat), cone filter, 93 oct tune at about 23 psi, swift sport spings.

Thanks

about 15 to 20 min i say. but if you have a good IC which i didnt see in your mods then you should be ok. I have the buschur race fmic and my last time i was waiting about 5 min in between. so with a stock you should wait a little longer. make sure you open your hood to cool off also

I went to the track for the first time in my evo, and my suggestions on the first run or two would be to take it kinda easy on the launch to get used to what kind of traction you will have, etc. Its def not like taking off from a stoplight, or so it felt to me.
Id start off with a lower rpm launch(4-5k) and go from there. You can always bump it up, but if you get nervous and screw up, it could do damage. just my .02

oh yea on thing on your launch. if you wheel hop, let off or it could be really bad.

^^Launching requires building boost off a set 2-step
Just sayin

Just have fun. I ran my car for the first time 2 weeks ago and had a blast. First run ever in car gave me a 1.8 60ft and a 12.8 so i was happy with that. That was with my 2 step set at 5800rpm.

Can you please define if your going to the race track or the drag strip?

Launching wont be nearly as beneficial as learning weight transfer or steering inputs on a track.
