Wing vs wingless??
When I was trapping in the low to mid 120's I noticed a 1mph increase by removing the wing. I'd imagine at around 113mph removing the wing should help at least .5mph if not more. My .02
I figured as much. I'll just leave it on then till im trapping in the 150 range. lol

Nice, but there had to be more to it. Buschur did a bunch of testing, and found almost no difference. I know that Ryu is probably right, where it maybe 1 mph on a 120+ trapping car. If you look at all of the FAST Evos, most don't have wings.
I doubt that you dropped .3 and 4 mph just from the wing, it could have been other factors like temperature, your 60' time, etc.. I guess if you had 20 12.1 passes in a row, you take the wing off, then run 11.8 that same day, then I would be a believer

functionally the wing is worth keeping on, i recently became a huge fan of wingless with the JDM rear and the voltex rear diffuser. for sure what im doing the day i get my car back from the shop. just my .02

Guys!
since the wing holds the car on the road especially at high speed, in order to achieve that it has to create downforce... Downforce can "steal" mph...
Two examples:
- The new hyper exotic the Murcielago SV is offered with a small wing and a large wing... The large wing has like 10 mph less top speed...
- Remember the Ford Escort RS Cosworth from the early 90s? It had a monstrous wing that in stock trim the car couldn't top more than 140-145mph i believe. People who removed the wing could easily see 160mph!!!!
In other words, as the speed increases the drag created by the wing is greater, thus the impact on mph... Maybe we dont see a change at 110mph, but at 130mph or even higher it could help...

I think the info he is looking for is about how much downforce does it create on the car.
The evo wing actually creates a good amount of downforce. From info that i had recieved from mitsu a while back, the wing basically adds 40 lbs of down force for every 50 miles per hour you do. So at 100 you have about 80 lbs sitting on the *** end of the car.
The reason I had got this info was due to setting up the awd dynojet in tampa for big valley performance.
So if the theory stands correct you will gain under 1mph and loose about 0.08 sec.
