Hopefully this might inspire you guys to bring the car out and try to run quicker.

+1 for the consistency of this car.

It's one thing to break a record, but it's a whole other league to run consistent 8's like this car seems to be doing. Has this car been on the same motor so far since it was first built?

And that is just mad that they haven't pushed more than 40 psi yet. With a big T4 turbo like they are running, I'm assuming they can go way up in boost?

I think we'd all be appreciative if you posted pics of some of your other projects. I remember saving pics of Docile years and years ago. You guys are pretty nutz.

I believe a very detailed mod list has been posted either here on in another thread when it ran 8's a few weeks ago i don't think they have much to hide cuz most of us wouldn't even have the funds to gather up the parts these guys run

It's apparant that the guys from NZ know their sh*t

By the way hope the guys from NZ STM see this but i was just wondering what your team member is doing when he stages you and holds something up to the winshield???

Is that a reminder for the driver before he makes his pass or is he wiping something on the windshield?

Thanks and congrats again!

The car has run the same engine at every meet, and infact this engine was carried over from Dave's street car that he ran last season. Other than usual maintenance it has been untouched and ultimately reliable.

We have run upto 42 psi on the dyno, and with the large GT45 turbo it is safe to say that it will continue making more power to well over 50 psi!

There really is nothing to hide in the build of this car. We believe in complete transparency, and the entire build has been well documented on the NZ MMC forum including a list of most of the parts used.

Too many shops make out that this sort of build is a black art, and shroud it in mystery. We believe nothing is further from the truth. We had a design brief, selected parts to meet the design aims, and then built the car. The results speak for themselves.

Thats Dave's crew chief Bam. Bam guides Dave up until he is about 12" out from the pre-stage beam. Just before Dave moves into stage, Bam shows Dave the chute safety tag so Dave knows it hasn't been left on the chute. We use this very specific staging procedure to help with driver confidence, and run consistency.
